Dozens arrested after Coraopolis-area drug investigation
A massive drug sweep led to 73 arrests Monday, and more were expected.VIDEO: Watch Marcie Cipriani's reportAllegheny County police said 85 felony arrest warrants were issued for residents of Coraopolis, Moon Township, Robinson Township, Stowe Township, McKees Rocks, Neville Township, Pittsburgh's North Side, and Beaver and Butler counties. Officers began bringing in suspects as early as 5:30 a.m."The arrests were a culmination of buys that were done by the Coraopolis police and the Allegheny County police, of everything from prescription pills to heroin and crack cocaine, over the last couple months in this area," Superintendent Charles Moffatt said.The investigation began in January, police said."These are all street dealers -- the local dealers that are the ones that are out in the streets selling to the people out in the street -- so it's kind of the things that people will notice, I think, a difference here," Lt.
