The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a museum dedicated to the history of rock and roll. It features displays on the music, the performers, and the industry. The museum is located in Cleveland, Ohio.

We spent five hours at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and loved it! We spent 90 minutes on level 0- the main exhibit that had a ton of information. The Garage was a family favorite as my husband and son(12 years old) were able to play piano, guitars and drums. We were there on a Tuesday, so it wasn't too busy, which was great for the Garage. We enjoyed the wall of inductees and videos that went along with them. The Cafe is convenient, but pricey. The food was decent. We parked in the harbor lot for $10.00 and that was easy.Definitely a destination for those who love and appreciate music!

I love Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! One of the largest collections of music memorabilia in the world. It was incredible to see so many cool items from the most influential artists and musicians of all time! Michael Jackson's Thriller jacket, Bob Marley's famous beanie, The Beatles' suits, Elvis' motorcycle and so much more! We heard displays are constantly changing so you may not always see these things, plan a visit soon! We arrived on a Saturday at 4pm and had only one hour to make it through this museum. We were on a mission! The woman at the front desk told us the best place to start was in the basem*nt to see their most impressive displays and then work our way up by elevator. We were able to see all six floors in an hour! I definitely recommend spending more time if possible, however you can see a lot in a short amount of time. Pictures and videos are allowed. Make sure to stop at the gift shop on the way out. There are so many fun things to buy as souvenirs or gifts. Credit cards only no cash accepted. Parking was easy to find across the street. Tickets are mobile and can be purchased at at kiosk right inside the entrance. Don't leave Cleveland without visiting this museum!

Place is awesome. Great to take family with older kids. Lots of interesting stuff.Avoid that food truck in the front $$. Try to find street parking. Garage is insane $$. FREE for Cleveland residents. Enter gift shop at own risk.Wear comfortable shoes! Great to get your steps in for the day.

I highly recommend stopping by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if you’re in Cleveland! This place was filled with Rock and Roll history along with some fun interactive things to do. I would say this is good for individuals, couples or families with older children. It is a bit of walking and a lot of looking at exhibits, which a young child or baby may be tired of after 20 minutes. To truly enjoy it, I would give yourself a good two hours at minimum. The price was great for everything you get to see at only $35, and less than that for children. The staff were very friendly and the museum was clean.

Jenna B — Google review

All of the exhibits were excellent. From the start of rock and roll all the way through rap and hip hop. I enjoyed this museum very much. I definitely would say you can do this in less than 2 hours. I would compare it to the Grammy in LA. Tickets are a bit pricey for a museum but it was very cool to see everything. Parking is ok and not super expensive.

Doug A — Google review

We totally enjoyed the R&RHoF! The garage band area and beats lab were absolutely a blast. Numerous displays and floors of music memorabilia made the 3 hours fly by. Be sure to check out the show on the 3rd floor too.Our teenage boys particularly said that they wished we had more time there! Definitely worth checking out with reasonable parking down by the water.

M C — Google review

This was absolutely worth the long drive across 3 states. I could spend 2 days here just soaking in all of the rich history. What I found most impactful is learning about early music history and the extensive contribution of African Americans. This is well arranged and laid out. The pace was up to my group and the Elvis portion was a must. If you love music, history, or culture then this is a place for you. Great for families although small children may not be as enthusiastic.

JOSEPH P — Google review

Really interesting place. Got to see all kinds of legendary music groups items and some replicas. It took about 3 hours to see it all, then went back, though, to see some exhibits that were busy the first time, though. I will definitely be back after Ozzy Osbourne goes into the Hall of Fame! If you like music, then this is a must-see!

Jay D — Google review

This museum was great! It a total of about 6 levels. There is so much history and amazing talent that is presented in this museum. Zero floor is basically the main exhibit. There are also additional floor one floor you can customize a band name logo and print your logo at no additional charge. There is also a area where you can play the guitar live with videos on how to play a couple drums sets and more! Definitely worth a visit! The staff and team members are also very friendly!

A2Z R — Google review

PRO TIPS: by far one of the most impressive collections of music memorabilia ever assembled. HOWEVER the museum layout for FIRST TIME VISITORS can be quite confusing. You actually enter the Hall of Fame on Level 1. Then travel paths want you to start your tour downstairs on Level 0 (which is the BAsem*nT featuring the larger collection of exhibits). THEN you'll see travel paths which force you to head upto Levels 3, 4, 5, & 6, then finally down to end on level 2 with a final exit through the gift shop on Level 1 at the end of your tour. Confused? HOWEVER MY RECOMMENDED TRAVEL PATH IS (especially with large crowds OR weekend visits): Try starting out on Level 2 (take the elevator) & work your way up the pyramidto avoid the crowds. BUT always end your tour on the impressive Level 0 which is in the basem*nt featuring the most exhibits. SAVE LEVEL ZERO FOR LAST!!!! There is actually an online exhibit guide to help plan your tour prior to arrival. Plan for 2-3 hours if you like rock music. Also lower your expectations as you will not see many artists memorabilia since exhibits rotate in/out. ALSO many artists are not in the Hall of Fame (as of this review) including Phish, B52's, Kate Bush, Weird Al, etc.

This is such a fun place to visit in Cleveland. It's in a very clean area of the city. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is fun because it gives you all the feels plus offers hands-on entertainment. My 3 year old and 15 year old had a great time, and so did my husband and I. There were turntables, guitars, drums, sound proof rooms, pinball machines etc. Truly, something for everyone.

Elizabeth V — Google review

Loved our experience here and seeing all the history of music under one roof was a great experience. They have many interactive experiences there to do as well, which made the experience interactive if you are interested in such things. Many unique and historic items related to music as as well. A must go for any music fan. Staff was friendly and areas kept very clean

John D — Google review

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, while famous, large, and full of music history, was not my cup of tea. While I appreciate all the hard work put into this museum, I found it confusing. The general layout wasn't clear and the signage was miniscule. For the price of $25 pp, I think the museum was well worth it. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and believe we could have explored for a few more hours.

Erica C — Google review

Awesome display of artifacts and memorabilia beginning with the onset of music history (blues, country and gospel) through rock and roll era, into pop, r&b grunge, rap, hip hop, heavy metal. Several interactive displays. In the front of the building are food trucks and 2 stages where local talent perform and you can watch for free. No parking lot so I suggest parking at the great lakes science museum garage located between museum and browns stadium. Only 13 dollars to park.

Jodi T — Google review

I love a good museum, and like Joan Jett I love Rock and Roll. This was absolutely the best museum I’ve been to in the US. We spent about 5 hours here and I think we saw it all. Highlights were definitely the first couple floors, but the trip to the top was still worth it. The boy minor disappointment was the movie on the third floor, which had some great highlights but was too disjointed to tell a compelling story. If you can make it while the Beatles display is still going, I’d highly recommend it. There are really great portions that will be hard to replace. I’m not from this area but will return in the future just to see what’s been added!

Tommy T — Google review

We went here after a work function and we had only a few hours to enjoy. I was asked a few times if I would come back. If people wanted to go I would go but it wouldn't be a repeat on my own. They had really cool displays and mini theaters to show you rock footage. They have assorted interactive booths so you can make your own band t-shirt, a music mix, and even learn how to play instruments. I thought that was very cool. Next time I need to keep an extra eye out for queen, rush, and black sabbath.

Sean D — Google review

We went for the Battle Of the Bands. It was a great concert with some really good talent. We were able to walk through all the exhibits. It was very interesting. You could listen to music, and see some amazing outfits and there was even an area where you could try playing piano, guitar, bass, and drums. My 16-year-old and my 7-year-old loved it.There were escalators for all the floors and an elevator. There were couches, benches, and tables for anyone who needed to take a break. There was a little Cafe for food and drinks. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who loves music.

Lorenda C — Google review

We stopped in to check out the Rock and Ro Hall of Fame on a Friday around noon. I ordered our tickets online before entering ( which made the entry faster) if you can do this it won't be a big deal to get tickets at the gate. We parked on the pier. This made finding and paying for parking super easy. The pier parking behind the building to the right upon entering, just drive past the building and you will see the parking. Once inside we started on the 1st floor and worked our way up them all. So many cool things to look at and activities to do I recommend at least 3-4 hrs to explore on a not busy day. Highly recommend the induction experience on the 3d floor. My favorite part... well I can't pick just one part. The Pink Floyd installation definitely the most interesting design. The tour ends in the merchandise store, so save that for last. Everything was reasonably priced. We picked up 4 shirts for the family on sale for $45.00 cool dollars.

Kristen N — Google review

Six floors in total, add lots of fun with different genres and multiple bands representing the facets of rock and roll. We started at 10:15am didn't even get done until 2:15pm. Good time, especially if you are a musician, or love music across the spectrum of rock.

Mr. S — Google review

Cleveland Rocks! The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was well worth the drive from Kentucky. We stayed the entire day. Great value for the money. Cafe has great food options so we didn’t have to leave the museum to look for food. Fun gift shop. Easy parking at nearby garage. So much to see. A great tribute to so many music legends. Wish it was even bigger and we were excited to see construction in progress! Our only regret, besides not coming sooner, was we didn’t buy a museum membership because we can’t wait to go back.

Lisa R — Google review

A unique experience every time I go! It's never the same display. So that makes it fun. Tickets are mobile entry at $30 each. Discount for seniors, kids, etc. 6 floors of activities. Food court has reasonable prices. Gift shop is gull of fun gifts at reasonable prices. Anyone can take home something! Wheelchair and stroller accessible by elevator. Staff was welcoming.

Teresa A — Google review

If you live in the city, it’s free. Otherwise, it’s $35..but here’s a tip: If you buy a membership for 2, you’ll pay $75. That $5 more than two tickets, plus you get a tee shirt and 10% discount in the gift shop. And it’s good for a year…take anybody you want! Always fun, I’ve seen some great exhibits and changes over the years. The Beatles exhibit was “fab!” It’s a great way to spend an afternoon and through August’22, concerts on the patio certain nights. Have fun and rock on!

Susan — Google review

This is such a cool museum! Going in you get a sense of a fun party atmosphere. Lots of music history here for fans of Rock, Blues, Metal, Hip-Hop. I paid $35 for a ticket online as I was walking towards the front entrance. I showed the person at the main door and got a wrist band after she scanned my ticket. Then she directed me to start one level lower. I highly recommend this place for music lovers.

Matthew K — Google review

Being a rock vocalist, it was a necessity to visit here while vacationing in Ohio. It's a cool place both inside and outside so take your time when visiting. Many of the exhibits are focused on rock & roll, of modern and classic bands and individuals as well. Pretty cool gift shop on premises as well and a lot of music history in these walls. All in all it was a great experience.

Stevie D — Google review

I have wanted to come here for a long time and it totally lived up to expectation! I loved the flow of exhibits bringing you around and to different floors. The history of everything was interesting to read and then getting to dive into exhibits on certain artists. Price of admission was well worth the time and spent about 2.5 hours there without seeing any of the films, so perhaps budget a full afternoon. Purchase a ticket online for easier entry

Travers M — Google review

All I can say is Wow! This was a bucket list trip and soooooo worth it! What a great museum. We spent about 4-1/2 hours there and probably my favorite part was being able to pick and choose what induction clips you wanted to see of your favorite artists. The displays and the exhibits are second to none. Very well put together and I really loved the interactiveness of it all. You just have to add this as a place to go if you haven’t been. INCREDIBLE

Brandt C — Google review

So very Cool!! Definitely a place to visit if you like music. The touch and play section was really cool and the video series was nice...especially with Prince closing it out.You gotta go.

Brian W — Google review

My husband and I visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during our trip to Cleveland. We conveniently parked at the metered parking across the street. There was plenty of spots available when we arrived but we could see how close parking may be challenging during high traffic visiting times or when there is a game at the nearby stadium.Tickets were $35 a person. We had no trouble buying them at the door. The museum has 6 floors. The bottom floor has the most to see and is the most impressive of them all. The other floors felt a bit lacking compared to this one, especially if you aren't interested in watching mini films they share throughout the museum. On the second floor, known as The Garage, you can try your hand at playing a variety of instruments using video tutorials as a guide. This was a great interactive option to enjoy during our visit! This is a great spot for all music lovers to enjoy while visiting the Cleveland area!

Wendy D — Google review

Everyone told us this was the must visit attraction in ClevelandThree hours really well spent. Loved it!Parked on the pier by the lake. Short walk and reasonable prices.Bought ticket in advance on the dat 🎟 Arrived before out slot and no problems getting inSo much to see. Basem*nt is biggest display area. Easy to miss something. We doubled back to make sure.Shop has lots on offer.Cafe has good food and drink optionsHighly recommended

Mark B — Google review

As the shape of the building suggests, the basem*nt is huge and a maze containing loads of artist memorabilia throughout the ages and genres. Impressive. As you go further up, the exhibition area becomes smaller, and the items on show lesser. Some of the greatest artists of all time, like Freddy Mercury, George Michael, Iron Maiden, KISS, Smashing Pumpkins, (to name just but a few) are NOT on display unfortunately. Otherwise, a great set up with lots of interactive play and jam sessions to listen to.

Aerodaan — Google review

This is an expensive experience with a lot of guitars. I enjoyed it, but became numb to all the interesting artifacts because there were so many. I especially loved the Elvis section. The music through out is incredible and the building is a cool design. It is a very expensive ticket though.

Brennan — Google review

The layout was pretty confusing at first. There was one point where we got stuck and had to get on an elevator (maybe that was what you were supposed to do?) it was also relatively crowded with people, but that’s what you expect because it’s not like it’s an unpopular place. The Hall of Fame itself was awesome! The first floor consisted of rappers, which was sort of confusing, but that was just the front. The rest had Rhythm and Blues, which people were complaining about (which doesn’t make sense because not everything’s going to have heavy metal and punk in it. R and B is apart of the evolution of that stuff. Just gotta wait for other floors to see it)The Taylor Swift stuff I’m sure was just to attract other people, but they liked it so it was okay just as long as people enjoyed it!The place where you can play interments was great. I’m not too good at bass so I can’t say much about the quality of the interments but it was holdable so that’s something.Very nice place consisting of several genres, including a gift shop! (Which had a Hole shirt that I wanted really badly but it was 50.00)I’d recommend this place to anybody that has a passion for that kind of stuff. Anybody that likes any kind of music would have a great time here, and that’s what makes it so amazing!(I got permission from my mom to write this)-Nora ^_^

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: A Must-See Experience**On our recent camping circle tour of Lake Erie, we finally checked off a long-time bucket list destination: the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This visit was everything we hoped for and more, and it’s undoubtedly a must-see for everyone. As Canadians, we were thrilled to see representation of Canadian artists among the global icons of rock and roll. The exhibits are comprehensive and inclusive, celebrating the rich, diverse history of the genre. The highlight of our visit was the video of inductees, which is nothing short of Oscar-worthy. If there were a 10-star rating, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would surely deserve it. This museum offers an unforgettable experience, showcasing the timeless impact of rock and roll on our world.

Randall O — Google review

My wife and I visited on 7/7/24. We got there about 10:30 and stayed for 3+ hours. It was crowded, but pretty much everyone was polite and patient. We both thought it was great. If you like music you will like this place. Don't miss the 12-minute movie or, for that matter, any of the exhibits. We hope to come back again.

LarryS — Google review

Really cool place to go see. You can walk around and see music instruments, clothes, and memorabilia from different generations of musicians. They had an instrument room where you can try out different instruments and beat box studio too. Definitely recommend going to see it if you’re in the area. They also have a very large gift shop where you can pick up some cool stuff.

Susan H — Google review

This place is amazing. For me it was very busy, and it was difficult to read/see some of the exhibits. The 15min movie is a must, the videos and acts are like a time machine to the past. Such great talent and performances. The women's rocker video was cool too, so many great artists. This museum is a must for anyone who likes music, amazing!

Jim B — Google review

We went on a Friday and got tickets for 10am right at opening. This was definitely the way to go. There was plenty of parking right by the pier and parking is not expensive at all! If you get there early you have time to stop and look and the ships and just take in the view of Lake Erie. The museum goes from Level 1-6. The first floor is the most robust and is absolutely an experience for all your senses. Each floor after that gives music-lovers an opportunity to delve into the different components or genres of the music world. Our favorite part of the experience was the celebration of 50 years of hip hop. If you grew up listening to hip hop through the 80s-00s you’ll absolutely LOVE this. The cafe actually has decent food that isn’t wildly overpriced. The whole museum is really well thought-out with little details everywhere you look. We travel to lots of museums and this is now at the top of our list!

Kelly S — Google review

My father and I took a trip to Cleveland for the 2024 Eclipse and needed to kill time. This place was our impromptu place to go and it was the best choice! We stayed here to look at all the treasure and history for over 4 hours! It was so cool to see the origins of rock and learn about the roots of hip hop. If you are a music enthusiast or just want to learn more about the hall of famers, I’d recommend planning to be here for at least 4 hours because I feel like I still haven’t seen everything.

Matthew E — Google review

Pretty awesome! The bottom floor is a lot to get through but the rest goes quick. Lots of cool things to look at, we didn't have time to see everything but walked away with a great experience.

Nathan H — Google review

Lots to see, hear, learn and do. Take your time to sit and watch/listen or play. My group stayed for 3 hours, but some of us would’ve stayed longer to really absorb more of the vibe. Worthwhile, especially with group of 15 (only had 10!) Unfortunately, no athlete discount for the Pan American Games athletes who wouldn’t be there the night of their special event.

Jo N — Google review

This place was wonderful. A great nostalgic ride through rock music. Tons of exhibits, clothes, guitars, and video presentations.Wear comfortable shoes, sit when you can.We spent about 6 hours wandering through the exhibits. The Beatles exhibit was hard to hear with so many other musical displays going on.Some of the immersive theater presentations were a bit loud. Some ear plugs would have been nice.Pro tip. You don't have to print paper tickets if you can present the PDF scan code on your phone.

Bruce L — Google review

I was disappointed, not for lack of memorabilia or interesting displays, but with the organization of how to make your way through the museum. We were told, "Start on the bottom level & work your way up." Sounded like a fair instruction, but not so. On the bottom level, there is a ton of stuff with no indication of direction or flow. Our group split up due to the crowd, & some of us saw things that others didn't see because there are alcoves & short halls. We spend 3 1/2 hours there, but you could easily spend more time there as there is a massive amount to see.

Robin D — Google review

If you are in Cleveland this is a must see. It's rich on history of Rock and roll and does a great job celebrating all of those indicted into their Hall of Fame as well as others important to how Rock and Roll has evolved over the years. I highly recommend you set aside a few hours to take all this in. I don't know if they have a live band every day, but there was one during our visit and you could hear them playing various covers while perusing all the great content, or just sit back and enjoy the show. Check it out!

Greg D — Google review

The Hall of Fame was terrific! There was so much to see, and do! One thing that surprised me was how much of it was interactive! The musical instruments were really fun to noodle around on. I only wish that it was a bit bigger. There were several artists that only had very limited representation.

Aaron D — Google review

I really enjoyed my time here. It was much bigger than I expected. There are 6 floors. There is a gift shop, a place to eat and if you are able to catch a show I highly recommend you do it's great it's included in the ticket price and not that long it's a great experience. Make sure to give yourself time to arrive early to find parking in case you need to walk, especially if you booked for a time.

Victoria M — Google review

Very cool place. We’re not usually the museum type people but we enjoyed the rock and roll hall of fame because they have an interactive floor where you could actually learn to play all kinds of instruments like the acoustic guitar, electric/ base , piano and even drums… they have easy lessons to follow with various songs to choose from.

Isabella J — Google review

We enjoyed what we saw. Very crowded. We went on a Saturday morning and were among the first in, but it was crazy busy. We completely missed the women and music exhibit on the lower floor!! We figured we would get back to it later but it was still so crowded, we gave up. The 6th floor was closed, so we didn't see anything up there, either.Next time, we will go back during the week and call ahead to make sure that all floors are open to the public.Staff was very friendly and there is alot to see.

Stacey C — Google review

I was absolutely blown away by how much I enjoyed this museum. This has been on my bucket list for many years and it didn’t disappoint. I could have spent days in this museum: the history, the videos, the outfits & and instruments, and an amazing gift shop. I highly recommend!

Andrew F — Google review

This was good and many items donated. Not all of it is rock and looks like country singers have a few things there too. I was surprised to see some bands not in it and hip hop rap was. Over all it was fun

Museums

The Cleveland Museum of Art is a popular place to visit in Ohio with 45,000 pieces of art spanning 6,000 years. The exhibit is organized chronologically which allows visitors to see the development of famous and brilliant artists over time. There's also an activity zone for children that they will love.

Beautiful place. Many different exhibits to enjoy for free. At this time you must wear a mask(no big deal they offer free ones if you forget). Great collection of Armour, swords and other artifacts from that Era. Lots 0f real cool Hindu and Buddhist carvings, tablets and sculptures. Second time going spent some time walking through the parks leading to the museum is definitely also worth the effort. Will definitely make time to go again if I'm anywhere close. Loved it .

One of my favorite places in the whole world. We have been members for years and could not recommend it enough. Top place to visit if you are visiting Cleveland or if you are a local. It is always free and the collection is top tier and ALWAYS FREE. My personal favorite galleries to visit are the contemporary gallery, the American landscapes and the Armor court. Of course, do not miss hanging out in the atrium and the interactive art lens area. If the weather is nice, a stroll around wade lagoon is a great way to admire the architecture and surrounding area. In April the cherry blossoms are stunning!

Rachel K — Google review

It is a large museum with free entrance. It is difficult to visit in one day. If you want to read the descriptions of the arts, you need a few days to visit the museum. It is possible to find works from many periods of history and many civilizations. I recommend that you join the guided tours at 1 pm, which usually last 1 hour. Make sure you have comfortable shoes.

Mevlüt — Google review

I was very impressed by this museum. Very broad, expansive collection with some nice items. They have some unique ancient Greek, Roman, and Vincan items that I don't recall ever seeing equivalents of in places like the British Museum, Louvre, or some other nice museums around the US. Attached are some of those that I found to be unique plus more modern art that I enjoyed.

First time visitors from West Virginia! Our first contact was the very pleasant parking garage attendant who made us feel welcome and happy to be here. Walked around to the South Side entrance and the views are beautiful. The groundskeepers have their hands full but are doing a great job!Inside, we were greeted by a couple of attendants who were also very welcoming and friendly, as were all the employees we came in contact with. Much appreciated in a place where we want to nurture future generations to come to a better appreciation of the beauty in the past and present and continue this vision in their own lives, hopeful that they have great potential. After all, if you can be famous for a teddy bear dress, than is anything outside the realm of possibility? ;) Yes, it can be fun and thought-provoking at the same time.Enjoyed our visit and appreciated the variety of displays and the scope of works. Beautiful inside and out!

Quirke M — Google review

A wonderful gem in Cleveland. They have an extensive collection of different kinds of art, ranging from the armor collection to Baroque. They also have a nice gift shop and cafe that you can stop in on your way out. The architecture inside and outside are works of art themselves. The best part…it’s free! All of the employees I’ve encountered have been very friendly and informative as well. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Very impressive for a free art museum. They have a good mix of many mediums and eras, so there’s something for everyone. There’s a new high tech area that’s pretty cool as well.Parking is $14 for non-members but you can probably find free parking nearby.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is an absolute must-visit for art lovers and anyone looking for a cultural experience in Cleveland, Ohio. The museum houses an impressive collection of over 61,000 works of art from around the world, spanning from ancient times to contemporary art. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed, with something for everyone to enjoy. The museum is spacious and easy to navigate, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The museum also offers a variety of educational programs and events, making it a great destination for families and school groups. The building itself is a work of art, with stunning architecture and a beautiful atrium. Admission to the museum is free, making it accessible to all. I highly recommend the Cleveland Museum of Art for anyone looking for a world-class art experience in the heart of Cleveland.

Beautiful musuem, I loved how the exhibits were set up and they were spread out from one another. Would recommend coming in early or by at least 2 because it closes at 5. If you read everything and want to stop for coffee you can spend the half/entire day here easily.

Natalie — Google review

This place is great! We did a tour of the first floor than the second floor and had a blast. On the first floor they had these two rooms with sets of engravings (pretty sure they're lithographs and wood carvings). That are in absolutely incredible condition and detail. On the second floor, I was astonished at their main room of early renaissance paintings. They're huge, and gorgeous. They also have that famous Pablo Picasso painting from his blue period they teach in art history. It's a fun place to spend some time and grab a tasty coffee.

Simon L — Google review

I love that it's Free admission for one. My kids loved it. Great place to walk around but also enjoy many variations of art. Great to keep in your back pocket for an idea on a rainy day but even a sunny one you would want to go to take pictures of the outdoors too. Cafe has great options and smelled good but highly expensive especially for most who are on a budget. Otherwise love going here!

Monica G — Google review

This was my 1st time to anywhere in Cleveland. I really enjoyed this museum. For the most part you could walk right up to whatever you wanted to look at very few times did I have to wait in line. There was a very large variety of art and history they had displayed which I appreciated and kept me interested along with displaying alot of fun facts I got to read and learn about. FYI Security will not let you take a bookbag with you they will make you check it into there closet in the front entrance.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is a true masterpiece, both architecturally and artistically. I visited, and it left an indelible impression on me.First and foremost, the museum's collection is breathtaking. It's a journey through time and diverse cultures, with a remarkable array of art spanning from ancient civilizations to contemporary works. The quality and variety of the pieces on display are astounding, and there's something to captivate every art lover. Whether you're into classical paintings, sculptures, or modern art, this museum has it all.The architecture of the museum is a work of art in itself. The beautifully designed building combines classic and modern elements, and it's a pleasure to explore. The atrium, in particular, is a stunning space that provides a sense of openness and grandeur, making it an ideal backdrop for the incredible art within. The staff and curators are knowledgeable and passionate about the art, and their enthusiasm is infectious. You'll find yourself learning about the pieces and their historical context as you explore, which enhances the overall experience.Additionally, the museum offers a wealth of educational resources, from guided tours to interactive exhibits, making it a great place for families and students. The museum also hosts special exhibitions that provide fresh perspectives on art and culture.Conveniently located in University Circle, it's easy to access and pairs well with other nearby attractions like the botanical gardens and the Cleveland Orchestra. Parking is a breeze, and the on-site restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a view of the museum's beautiful grounds. In conclusion, The Cleveland Museum of Art is a cultural treasure that offers an enriching experience for art enthusiasts and curious minds alike. It's a place where you can lose yourself in the beauty of art and history. If you find yourself in Cleveland, this museum is a must-visit destination.

This is free to all! Lovely grounds. A wonderful collection with helpful volunteers & staff. Monthly lunch programs on current collections from curators. Special exhibits( which may have an entry fee) A true gem.

I have been coming here as a patron, member, student, parent, and guest for many years. Obviously it is one of my favorite places to visit. That said, the security guards are becoming an issue. Most are wonderful, 10% will follow you from room to room if you aren't of a certain type of person (which I'm not; I'm an artist and I'm comfortably dressed, as are my children, when I'm there to draw or learn or whatever). Yesterday, the ticket man at Byzantium was condescending and rude, and multiple male guards followed me and my children (teenagers who are also professional artists) around incessantly. Don't do that! One literally stood arm's length behind me! That's creepy, disturbing, and borders on alarming. No security guard should be "breathing distance" from a patron, ever. We were not loud, not intrusive, not obnoxious...and we did not feel welcome. Parking attendant was very pleasant, so was front desk. (Also, you may want to have a professional Hollywood lighting company come in, glare and heavy shadows are really becoming terrible issues. It makes it hard to see many, many details.)

A fun and interactive experience. I was amazed by all the beautiful pieces they had, just in pure awe. Hands down an amazing experience as soon as you walk in the door. A must see in Cleveland and Free!! Great place to spend all day, enjoy the Cafe and gift shop and a good place to bring kids or go with friends. Very welcoming staff available to share details or answer any questions.

It's been said 1000 times but this place is absolutely incredible. If you're anywhere near the area you really need to check it out! I've been to dozens of museums and this one is honestly on another level. If you want to explore the whole thing/all the exhibits expect to spend at least 3 hours or so, but if you have less time it's very easy to pop in and out of the different exhibits! Also I went on a Saturday and it wasn't even super busy, excellent spot.

I had a great experience. The staff is super friendly and the cafe is great. I saw three South Asia related exhibitions, which were all fantastically curated. And, the gift shop has great stuff. Must visit if you’re visiting the area.

A great museum! Entry is free, but we had to pay $14 for parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The museum is large, clean and beautiful. The exhibits are well described.

This was an amazing museum! As quality as I've ever experienced - right up there with the Smithsonian in my opinion. The exhibits had incredible pieces and the ambiance was top notch! They also had a great interactive art media exhibit for kids and adults alike that we enjoyed as well!

Excellent museum with a broad collection of art. It is large enough that you can't see it all in one day. It should be on everyone's to do list when visiting Cleveland. If you park in the garage, the entrance to the museum is on the garage's second floor. Drive up the ramp.

This is one of the best museums I have been to and it happens to always be free! I would actually pay to visit the CMOA. The architecture of the building is beautiful with a large glass enclosed atrium for having lunch or shopping their very nice gift shop! We spent a few hours viewing all the exhibits throughout the museum and nothing disappointed. I would consider this an art museum/history museum because they have a room dedicated to medieval battle gear along with a room dedicated to Egyptian pottery and mummies. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!

World famous art museum with gorgeous sculptures, paintings and items across all periods and cultures. The atrium was huge with a garden and fine dining restaurant. Entry is free, bit parking is $14. My favorite sculpture had to be the miniature The Thinker.

Went to see the Monet exhibit on loan from France! He is my favorite! Then we wandered over to Artlens & it is a must see! There's lots of pictures on a huge screen & you touch one you like & it opens up larger on the screen. It tells you all about the piece and where it's on display. Plus you can touch the artists name & it will show more of their art. Or touch the period in time & it will show more. Then there's a room where you can virtually make pottery, wear armor, wear jewelry, make a shape & it will find artwork with that shape in it. Then you can make virtual paintings! Then we wandered across to the original art museum and took in all the art on the first floor. It only cost $14 for parking!

One of the best museums I've ever been to, I really immersed myself in the past. Different cultures, styles, countries and the most talented creators. Very beautiful paintings that you can see only in this museum, various world sculptures, extremely beautiful tableware, as well as ancient furniture. The museum itself is very large, two floors, there are elevators, you can also have a delicious snack in the cafe, a large selection of food and drinks, cuisine for every taste. There is also a zone where children can play and show their creative skills, for example, create a portrait of themselves or mold a vase from clay, draw with gestures on the screen, so children will not be bored here. We spent about 3 hours in the museum, but we were very satisfied and pleasantly surprised by what we saw. The museum itself is free, but you have to pay for parking, the museum has friendly staff, it is clean, light and cozy. We visited on Friday, there were not many people, there are many benches where you can rest, toilets. My family and I receiving a lot of positive emotions from such beautiful, informative and instructive places, recommend it to everyone))

Art is always beautiful. So thankful that the Cleveland museum is always free. Great displays. Hardly even covered 1 floor in 2 hours. Will definitely return soon. Christian motifs, Muslim art, Greek mythology, Renaissance, European, Asian, Arabic. Pretty much any culture is present. Wonderful learning opportunities.

Parking and getting there was super easy. It was a beautiful space. Very chilly in there so bring a small jacket or sweatshirt. We didn't do the added exhibits as we had a busy day. So many beautiful and interesting pieces to enjoy.

Amy L — Google review

Lovely world class museum. Works from many eras and cultures. Regular museum is free while the traveling exhibition has a fee.Loved walking around early on a Tuesday. The armor court is my favorite as well as the nanny goat. Lovely place to amble about.

Incredible museum! I had no idea what a large museum Cleveland had. They've got a nice parking garage that is reasonably priced, museum admission is free, and they've got a really nice cafe. Even more encouraging was the fact that it has a nice crowd on a random Saturday. They've got some impressive pieces including Monet. But they aren't limited to one era or culture. It would take several visits to soak it all in.

First art museum I’ve been to, and it was incredible. A free museum that you need 2 days to fully explore. Lots of exhibits and so many unique treasures. Highly highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Cleveland.

Kaia S — Google review

Exceptional museum. IT'S FREE!!! Ranging from historical pieces to contemporary, this museum has it all. The gift shop and little cafe are nice too. The beautiful central main room is a perfect space to take a break before jumping back into another art era.

Overall very cool exhibit. I enjoyed the Picasso work . They was an extremely sweet woman working there who gifted me and a friend tickets to an exhibit that was not apart of the free exhibits . She really made my day . I will update her name when I find my ticket stub .

The Cleveland Museum of Art consistently ranks as one of the best comprehensive art museums in the United States and one of the most-visited in the world. But what does that actually mean? This isn’t the kind of museum where you show up, look at a couple of Picassos, then find the nearest bar. It's home to more than 61,000 works of art spanning 6,000 years — including soothing lily pad oils by Monet, ancient hot bod Grecian statues and 100 very vivid images of Marilyn Monroe courtesy of Andy Warhol.Oh, and after more than 100 years, the museum’s founders would be pleased to know that their bedrock belief that admission should be free to the general public is still adhered to today. You might also be pleased to know that, because, you know…free.

Satyam S — Google review

For a free entrance facility, they don't hold back on wow factor. Everything is gorgeous, and the lighting is chefs kiss, lol. The staff is so nice and is very approachable. Cafeteria is very pricey, but the gift shop has some great deals 👌 I went on a weekend, and it wasn't even packed with people there. There was so much space i never had a run-in with the same person twice. They've added more work and even some modern artwork. It's not the best place for wild or small children because some things are not covered by glass, so keep that in mind.

Ari S — Google review

I came after work and definitely needed more time - I would highly recommend dedicating a day to take in the art. The museum has so much to see! My favorite was the fairy tales and fables exhibit, but there’s something for everyone.

My significant other, and I went to the museum today to see an exhibit that I got the date wrong on, but despite that they had another exhibit today was from a Japanese pen/paper artist, and I was told it was the first time the exhibit was on display in North America! There was four floors with about two floors of exhibits, We went in about 2 PM and there was roughly a dozen people in the building, including other guests and staff. Staff were very polite and helpful. The building seemed clean and how awesome is it that admission is FREE?!?!

One of the best art museums I've been able to visit. Exceptional collection of impressionist works by Monet, Degas, and others. Many other fine works by Picasso, Van Gogh, Warhol, Pollock, and many others. Beautiful architecture with wide open spaces. Always free. Incredible.

Fresh food market

West Side Market is a vibrant and bustling public market in Cleveland, established in 1912. It is the city's oldest market and offers a wide range of fresh food options. With over 100 vendors, visitors can find an array of meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, flowers, ready-to-eat foods, spices, and nuts. Exploring this historic market is a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

Love coming here!!!!! All the different sweets, breads, spices, meats, fruits and veggies is crazy!!! Everything is super fresh and delicious. Never had a bad experience no matter what vendor we bought from. A definite must go to spot if you're visiting Cleveland

April H — Google review

Worth visiting! Very cool location with a fun atmosphere. We loved most everything we got. Especially all the items we got from the various bakery’s! Unfortunately, most of the produce we bought was old. Our garlic was sprouted, once I got home and cut into it, and the ginger molded with in a day. Neat experience, but I wasn’t super impressed.

We stopped here because everyone said it was one of the places you HAD to see. The parking is limited but if you arrive early you should be fine. The first 90 minutes are free to park. The fruit and produce area was pretty small. The main area had the bakeries, meat counters, and international products. We got a chicken pasty at the Irish deli, and it was really good. If you have the time, you can find the best prices.

Bonnie B — Google review

A former train station turned into a market full of local vendors slinging meats and sweets. After your drive over the Hope Memorial Bridge, you turn right into the parking lot. The first 90 minutes are free and it’s only $1/hour after that. A welcome surprise. You’ll first walk into the produce building with vendors selling their tantalizing fruits and hearty vegetables. Once you make it halfway down the corridor, you will see doors to your left to crossover to the rest of the market.Walking in through the double doors, you are greeted by intoxicating aromas. Look up and you will see the beautiful, high ceiling of the former train station. The place is absolutely packed with local meats and sweets. Many of the vendors sell raw meat and fish for your home cooking needs, while the rest provide ready to order snacks and meals.Stalls that caught our eye: local pasta, crepes, hot sauce, cannolis, gyro stand and an Irish bakery. We split up and grabbed a gyro from Steven’s Gyros (featured on Man versus Food) and a sausage roll and meat pie from the Irish bakery. There aren’t many places to sit, but if you go to the west end, you can head up the stairs and get a great view of the market. We stuffed our faces, got a picture and then headed down to grab snacks for the rest of the weekend. We loaded up on local cheese, flavored beef jerky, hot sauce and baked goods. All of which were sensational.

This was my first experience at West Side Market. So many Vendors under one roof. It was Awesome. Every person in the market from the people working to the visitors in the market were extremely nice. It was crowded but a good crowd it added to the fun experience. I look forward to going back.

This was genuinely one of the nicest markets I’ve ever been to! Very good prices on a huge variety of specialty and regular items. The produce looked almost too good to be real. A last stop before headed home on a weekend trip was perfect to bring home a lot of goodies. Delicious cannolis and pepperoni bread from Theresa’s bakery, perfect scratch made pasta from Ohio city pasta, home made beef jerky and more!! I’m considering making the trip from Pittsburgh more often just to stop here again!

Brandy B — Google review

This place was really cool! Lots of vendors and I loved the fresh market. I wish we had something like this in Columbus with the same produce selection! The downside is that if you’re vegetarian there isn’t really anywhere to have lunch on site. That would have really made it.Also there are full animal carcasses on display so if you are squeamish or cannot handle that I wouldn’t recommend

Sam P — Google review

Visiting Cleveland on holiday and decided to check out the West Side Market. This place was great with wide variety of fresh seafood, bakeries, meat, produce, cheese just to name a few. You can pick up a coffee but it more a fresh market than eating. There is a little cafe which was very busy. The building is really cool and a great space. Make sure you climb the stairs a one end for a great view. Definitely worth checking out.

Enjoyed the West Side market. Haven't been here in years. Everything in the area is so different but I'm glad that this lil gem is still there and hope that more local vendors continue the tradition. Prices were competitive. Some vendors allow you to even try some of the fruits. Like the fact that you can select the specific pieces of meats you want to purchase. Would go again.

Linda T — Google review

MAKE SURE you go to the covered meat and cheese market! Delicious cheese. Try the truffle goat cheese from one of the vendors! We bought Amish smoked pepper, jack cheese, cheddar and blue cheese cake, Horseradish cheese etc.Fruit and vegetable stalls outside also covered. Free parking 90 minutes. $1 after that after that.

This was a pretty cool place. Fruit and vegetable vendors, bakers with fresh bread and yummy looking desserts, fish mongers, cheese seller's and meat vendors with sausages and other products. We bought fresh bread, sausages and canoli. Parking was free for the first 90 minutes. We were there about an hours because everyone had free samples.

Great market!! Lots of selections of fruit 🍓🍑 and veggies 🥕🥗. Plenty of vendors with meat and cheese, bakeries 🥯 with amazing fresh bread 🍞 and sweets 🍭. We stopped at the Gyro place, far left corner of the market, and enjoyed the most delicious, large gyro! Wow the house tzatziki sauce was so good! Makes you want to bottle it up and bring it home. So good. We got the regular size Gyro and it was big. We ended up having lunch again the next day with the leftovers. All the produce looked fresh, we got some local strawberries 🍓🍑. Great selection of cheese and meat. Hard to decide what to get when it all looks so good. Would recommend going there. If you are staying in the area for a few days (that's what we did) and get your food here.

We try to go here whenever we are in Cleveland (we live 2 hrs away). There is so much good food here. It's always easy to find something new and unique. As an Englishman, my favorite vendor is Reilly's. They have great Irish pies, pasties and sausage rolls. Plus their scones are spot on.

John P — Google review

The West Side Market is well known for a reason: Fresh meat, fresh bread and bakery goods and fresh specialty foods--all in one National Register of Historical Places landmark. There, you can find fresh Hungarian Kielbasa not far from fresh baked French bread that's next to an herb stand. Try the kolatchkes--small Hungarian pastries filled with fruit or nuts. No pictures are available because they were promptly devoured. Cleveland West Side Market is great for a day trip. Highly recommended.

My husband and I travel the country full time. During our local stay, we added West Side Market to our list of things to see and do.We entered the food area first. It is a gorgeous building with a nice run since 1912.We purchased meats from Jim's; we have not tried them yet so we cannot review the vendor. But they look great! We each got something different to eat for lunch. My husband got a brat from Frank's and he enjoyed it. I got a gyro from Steve's. I'm sorry, but I don't know how it has decent ratings and appeared on any TV shows, because it was so disgusting I tossed it after a couple bites. Half of the meat was thick and fatty and I don't even know what the sauce was. And I am displeased that I paid $13 for it and had to get cash from the ATM that charged additional fees. The only good thing about Steve's was that the girl behind the counter was pleasant. We purchased pastries from Euro Sweets and tried one of them...so far so good. The last thing we did was walk fruit/vegetable row before we left. We should have avoided this area. Vendors yelled at us to purchase from them as we passed by. Nothing more annoying than that. We got to the last two vendors before the parking area and I wanted to get sweet corn. The last vendor on the right had corn and green tomatoes. He was slightly pushy but I got only what I wanted. I wish I would have left without making the purchase. Once we returned to where we were staying, I noticed the corn husks were musty. I shucked them and the cobs stunk too. All vegetables went in the trash. A couple terrible purchases made it a huge disappointment in the West Side Market. It's too bad...this place could be so nice....

Theresa E — Google review

This was a really fun market to explore! There are so many shops to visit with plenty of ready to eat and "make at home" or grocery options. We enjoyed getting crepes, donuts, and a scotch egg, but if we visit again there would be so many more things to try. We were just passing through so we didn't grab meet or other to cook ingredients, but everything looked delicious. The building was beautiful as well.

What an amazing place! I've never seen so many different kinds of vendors with such colorful and beautiful products, not even at the local farmers market or state fair. We spent two hours walking through, trying to decide what we had to try and what we had room for in our stomachs lol if you plan on going to Cleveland, make sure you add this place to your itinerary!

What a fantastic market. We spent the weekend in Cleveland visiting family and decided to check out this market. Only wish we lived closer to this place! Everything is so fresh and can do just about all your shopping in one place with local vendors. Lots of free samples everywhere too if you are undecided on something! It was a great experience.

It's always a great time hanging down at the West Side Market. The large selection of meats and the eye-catching bakery never fail to meet expectations. You could just spend, spend, spend here. There are too many different foods to list!Must-go if you're only visiting in Cleveland.

West Side Market has great fresh produce, and the other side with food vendors was also ripe with lots of options. I found exotic lion's 🦁 mane 🍄 and huge Monroe 🥑 . The salmon, spinach, and capers crepe from Crepes de Luxe was really delectable! 😋

Calling for the food lovers!)) seriously, it is a great place where everyone could find to indulge themselves - from smoked meat and dipping oil to bread and macarons, pies, and coffee. Very educational for kids too! They can see some fruits and vegetables that are not regular in stores, even cacao beans.

Locals come here for fresh everything from homemade pasta beef jerky meat vegetables dehydrated fruits and vegetables. It’s truly an amazing experience. Be prepared to be wowed.

Nice Marketplace! A good variety of food, especially meat products. Prices for vegetables are a little higher (and not better quality) than in a grocery store. I think shopping in the vegetable section isnt worthwhile, but for meat, cheese, or specialty food items it is great--there the price and quality is much better! Also, Rita's is the best place for anyone looking for olives! You should also try the brats from Frank's!

I stopped by the West Side Market over Easter weekend with my family while visiting the Cleveland area. The market has been on my list of places to visit and it did not disappoint! Parking is free for 90 minutes or less and $1/hour after that, with a max fee of $10/day. Most vendors accept credit cards, but some charge additional fees to do so.Being a holiday weekend the market was in full swing and very busy! If you have small children, I would not recommend bringing strollers/wagons. The fresh produce selection was excellent and everything tasted so good! Lots of produce stands give out samples. If I was local, I would love to shop the produce regularly! We purchased macarons, cannolis, apple fritters, Italian rainbow cookies, brats, snack sticks, breads, pink glow pineapple, fresh herbs, and artichokes. I highly recommend going if in the area and hope to visit again soon!

Gorgeous historic market. The building itself is enough of a reason to visit. Add in all the wonderful vendor options and you could make a day of it. Playhouse Square is a Broadway-style theater in Cleveland, Ohio that hosts a variety of performances including musicals, plays, and concerts. The theater is also home to educational classes and programs aimed at inspiring people to take an interest in the performing arts.

We saw Jesus Christ Superstar tonight and we enjoyed it immensely! The cast did such amazing, amazing job and we were moved to tears several times. The band and orchestra kept us hooked with their magical music. ❤️❤️❤️

Went to see Wicked. Was a great play and staff was friendly. Everyone had a mask and was asked to show vaccination card. Line to get in went quickly if you were ready with the document. Concession is expensive. 15 for a soda and pretzel but was tasty. I had higher seats so wasn't as detail but could see the Actors fairly well. Hanna theatre was PACKED. So imagine waiting 10 to 15mins for a bathroom break. Use the restroom prior to play. Overall such a beautiful theatre!

It was a very entertaining evening at the Playhouse Square! This venue houses multiple theaters in the downtown Cleveland theater district. I was able to buy tickets online a few weeks in advance for The Hip Hop Nutcracker at The Keybank State Theater. The only option they gave was to mail the tickets directly to my home, which they did so promptly. Advance paid parking is available at the time of purchase. They also offer valet parking at a price of 40, which I highly recommend! It was a wonderful convenience on a cold winter's night. The Playhouse Square is located in a very safe area downtown. The multiple theaters show plays, musicians, comedians, and more! Definitely check out all they have to offer. It's one of the best places to spend an evening while in Cleveland!

First time going to Playhouse Square since 2011 or so. We were in the State Theater. This was also my first movie concert. The experience was top tier and definitely a great movie going experience. The orchestra was awesome and I loved hearing this great movie score by Danny Elfman. My favorite scene in the movie with the score is the video. Playhouse Square is a top tier theater experience! I highly recommend checking them out. I believe the last time I was there was for a Jerry Seinfeld comedy show.

Playhouse Square is home to some of the most elegant, beautiful and ornate theaters in the world. I have been to the famed Pantages Theater in Toronto and the playhouses in Cleveland are more impressive, beautiful and spectacular than Pantages. The architecture and design is elegant and rich. There are several different playhouses in one huge building, which enables them to host multiple events at one time. We have seen several plays, ballets, orchestras, concerts and more over the years. It is always a splendid event no matter what you see.

Playhouse Square has always been a solid entertainment venue and a special part of Cleveland. Their Broadway series always brings the best shows to town. Our most recent visit was to see Tori Amos in concert and it was like a time machine back to the 90s. Magical. Thanks for continuing to be a world-class theater venue.

Great venue for plays, concerts with stellar acoustics. Several historic theaters near excellent food options. Easy access and parking most of the time.

Play was Great but ushers were actually quite rude and not accommodating. The handicap seating itself is great but getting to the seats is a nightmare. Multiple users pushed their way right into my handicap mother and nearly knocked her over. Dress code was also not enforced and it was upsetting. It used to be a place of class, but most people were there in Jean shorts and sports/athletic clothing.

Keep doing what you're doing to put Cleveland on the map.

Playhouse is great spot for musicals though this year has had some rough musicals to watch in terms of, we left early for two of them and the last one, a bunch of people left during intermission is was crazy. (Worst musical - Company) (followed by Girl of North Country). Hoping as a season pass holder for the past 6 years or so, next year's is better but we have filmed a project at playhouse before and it was amazing to let us film in a whole practice hall back in 2018 so I thank them a lot for that. Overall a grand place

This was probably my favorite show here. That's a strong probably because frankly, they've all been very good. We went to see The Wiz. It was nothing short of amazing! It made you feel all of the nostalgia from the movie while updating it just enough to make you laugh even more. I honestly wish I could go again. The actors were brilliant with voices and vocal ranges you couldn't buy. The dance numbers were a fine mix of past, present, and a little bit of future. The costumes 😍 nothing short of magnificent! Tony Award these people please! And the cherry on top was Deborah Cox as Glinda.

Construction made it difficult to gain access to the correct entrance but helpful doorman next door was of assistance. Sushi En is in the same building and attached to the hallway to the theater. Show was in Outcalt.

We came here for the Marquee Moments lighting of the Playhouse Square theatre marquees. This is another great example of Playhouse Square showing off of our gem in the city. You had to be there to really see it.There was entertainment from 5:30 - 9:00 from Apostle Jones, Loconti Band, and then Andy Grammer with the lighting at the climax of the night.

My favorite place in Cleveland to see my favorite comedians when they past through town. I've seen some of the best shows including Ron White, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Apparently they also have ballet and other entertainment options. Make sure you buy parking with your tickets in advance or best of luck finding a spot in a local lot for under $20 close to the show.

I love it here. I've seen so many good shows since moving back home two years ago. There are several different theatres to visit. The theatres have beautiful architecture and I'm excited to see the new marquees.

Children's museum

The Great Lakes Science Center is a fascinating destination for explorers of all ages. Here, visitors can explore hundreds of hands-on exhibits that help them understand the science behind everything from rock music to parachutes. There's also a Cleveland Creates Zone where kids can launch rockets and build light sculptures. And if you're looking for something more educational, the Biomedtech Gallery has exhibits on stem cells, medical imaging, and prosthetics.

This center is a great place to spend time with children, many different entertainment games for children, you can eat delicious pizza. And we especially liked watching the film in the dome about fur seals, the most amazing thing. It will be interesting for both children and adults, I recommend it to everyone and give it a high score. You will not regret)))

????? ? — Google review

It's a great place to take the kids and keep them occupied for a while. Lots of interesting exhibits for them that are hands on. The staff is very friendly. Only 4 stars though, because there's quite a few exhibits that need some TLC and are either only working partly or not at all.

Lars A — Google review

Super cool place for kids and adults alike! It's a place where you can learn AND play at the exact same time!I came on a school field trip with my daughters class, and it was an absolute blast! Joy was so very helpful and kind, getting us situated with everything. She was great with the kiddos.10/10 would recommend visiting this place and checking out all the exhibits.

Kayla K — Google review

Even though I am an adult and this is geared more towards kids, I loved every moment of it. The staff were wonderful, there were so many hands on learning experiences. I have nothing bad to say about my experience.

Catelin M — Google review

So much fun. My daughter and I visited today and had a blast. Tons of different areas to try experimenting. Tons of interactive exhibits to try out. Different music, water & electric areas. Wish they had the bottom floor opened up or more exhibits to spread out and explore more.

Joe — Google review

Fantastic fun. Even with some things that didn't work there. The place was clean, organized and laid out nicely to enjoy it all step by step. So much to do to enjoy and or learn.

Tyler D — Google review

Great place for kids to explore. Their space exhibit is very cool, there is so much information for all interest levels. Worth looking into membership packages if you have younger kids.

Kathy S — Google review

Overall, the place was wonderful. The kids enjoyed learning about different types of space, playing with building equipment and science stuff. The only downside was there were definitely a few broken things throughout the exhibits. The tapescape section was amazing. We didn't even realize it was there until we were about to leave and we ended up spending an extra 45 minutes with the kids in that area alone.

Jossette C — Google review

We had a Case western social event and we had more fun walking around the science center. It was a worth it trip down the lane. Entertainment packed and activities to kick the adrenaline exactly the right amount. A must visit!

Anshul G — Google review

I greatly enjoyed this addition to our day, and this place would be a wonderful time for kids. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, and even the gift shop staff was really cool. I'm definitely going to have to bring my nephew here.

Sarah M — Google review

So I went here when it first opened maybe 20 or so years ago and let me tell you nothing has changed. I remember every exhibit with the exception of a few. Definitely needs updating. Family membership is like $150 but gets us into over 300 museums which is great!!

Aubrey N — Google review

Good place for the kids to run around on a rainy day. The outside water table area needs to be worked on for this summer as a lot of that was not working, yes it was misting outside so not a huge deal. They are member of the ASTC museum reciprocal which was great for me. It was free for me and the kids with our museum membership. We parked on the street out front at the meters for about $2 which made it great.

Troy S — Google review

Don’t let the Google map image fool you. There is a underground parking garage next to the museum. They will tell you to pay for your parking before you leave the museum. The parking kiosk is on the third floor near the food court. This place also doubles as the visitor center NASA Glenn Research Center and the place for admission to the William P. Mather ship.A Great place for the family and for anyone looking for the Apollo command modules. They have Skylab 3 here.

Noah F — Google review

Great place to spend the day. Top floor is set up for younger kiddos, probably 3-7 years old. The rest of the museum was set for kids of all ages. My two 6 year olds loved the entire place. The boat outside was closed when we visited and cost additional to board. The theater there also cost additional. We chose to do the free things. You have to go and see it.

Howard H — Google review

This place is great if you have younger kiddos, otherwise it's a bit pricey for the exhibit that they offer. Don't get me wrong is really cool too see the Apollo exhibit but I'm not sure that along is worth the price. Thee majority of the museum is dedicated for younger children to explore science and is all hands on.The entire top floor is dedicated to hands on playing for the kids, they have lots of exhibits that will hold kids attention for hours but for adults and older kids is really just the one Apollo exhibit that will peak there interest.I hope this helps give everyone a better perspective of what to expect!

Joshua C — Google review

This was truly a great experience. I've learned a lot of things that I didn't realize about what goes on with astronauts out in space. The visit was very informative, and I see myself returning. I highly recommend it.

Anthony A — Google review

In Honor of Martin L. King, the Great Lakes Science Center & many other museums in Cleveland and Akron were free to the public!Me & my son had a lot of fun! This place is great if you have younger scholars. The majority of the museum is dedicated for young children to explore science and is all hands on. We did so much! Even with it being crowded on a “free day”.The entire top floor is dedicated to hands on playing for the kids, & they have lots of exhibits that will hold kids attention for hours! Another great area we enjoyed was the NASA Glen Research Center. Why, because Jiji loves astronauts! We learned a lot about flight and space travel, and saw some of the items from space missions.Overall, we had a great time at the center and easily spent a few hours having fun and learning.

Whitney C — Google review

We were so lucky to see the eclipse on April 8th. What a fantasy, so amazing. And very luck to enjoy NASA activities here to know more information about science and universe. Aside is the rock and roll museum. I like Cleveland.

Pang-Yun C — Google review

Some really cool interactive exhibits!!While they have an area for children 7 yrs. and younger, I would personally recommend 4-5+ for the children to get the most entertainment/education out of the exhibits and your dollars.

Jp H — Google review

The GLSC offered a free day for children and families. It was hosted by NASA the day before the eclipse. There were tons of NASA giveaways, including information and pamphlets, beautiful calendars, meatball stickers, as well as eclipse glasses. There were many NASA tents outside with displays and items that they brought from NASA Glen to show and even let you touch. Plus, a LEM is on display inside the GLSC. It was interesting and amazing and a perfect way to start off thinking heavily of the coming eclipse.

Dan T — Google review

An absolutely wonderful place to take kids of all ages to learn about science, the planet, space, and so much more! So many floors / levels for exploring! Convenient parking garage attached / underneath.

The P — Google review

Fun for the whole family. We didn't visit the ship. But we had such a great time that we didn't even get to experience the entire place. We will definitely be back.

Yadira C — Google review

We went on a Monday and had the entire museum to ourselves. It kept my 6yo and 15yo entertained for a few hours. We came here specifically to see dinosaurs but that exhibit was switched out to legos which is not nearly as cool since my kids have plenty of those at home.I will say there were a noticeable amount of stations that were down but it didn’t take away from the experience. We chose to watch the sea lion documentary (45 minutes) in the dome - it was only a $5 add on & worth it.

Kikumi P — Google review

Came here for the solar eclipse festival, the center is huge and have a lot of very cool exhibits,my favorite was the shadow room! It was a lovely event and I learned so much,I’ve always been fascinated with space, coming here will make you realize just how amazing humans are and how far we’ve come. I really loved the meet&greet with an astronaut it was so amazing having the opportunity to take a photo with a real astronaut!

Glam D — Google review

The I Max was immersive. We watched 🌌. Then we went and prayed in the exhibit area. Some areas were kinda old. The new display was nice to see. Great staff. Someone validated my parking because I was so 😎

Bruce J — Google review

Loved watching the Artic life movie in the dome!!! It is a fantastic immersive experience! My son loved all the science displays and game areas! This is great place for families!

A J — Google review

Parking was easy and reasonable. The place was a great space for kids. We were 2 adults and had fun, but it's definitely good for kids. Very interactive and hands on. It seemed kind of on the smaller side, but had a lot to offer. We were too early for the boat exhibit.

Amy L — Google review

It is an alright experience, but expensive for what you get. For parking and tickets for myself and my 4 YO it was just shy of $45. Quite a few of the exhibits were broken/out-of-order, which I found disappointing. A lot of the actual learning is obviously geared to older kids, but there were plenty of areas appropriate for 3+ also. They do have an entire area dedicated to the earlier age groups, which is great… lots of activities involving balls, a small playground, and make believe items. It really wasn’t a bad day out, so we were disappointed that the outside area was not open. Overall, okay… but not as great as I remember it from when I was a kid.

Tiffany — Google review

Very fun experience for the kids! I'm glad we were able to experience the Omnimax theater and watch the launch of Apollo 11. Although it was very crowded, everyone seemed to share space quite well. Parking was also very reasonable. We did not have lunch there because we packed snacks, but the food did look good.

Marla B — Google review

It certainly is a fun trip to do. I'd recommend if you've never been, at least go once to check it out and have fun since it is fun to go once but each time turns out the same things. And definitely dont go on MLK day for free since you won't be able to do anything at all. Pay the price for a normal day and just go have fun

MMH P — Google review

It’s very boring.Honestly it was great when I was 8 but the SAME exhibits from when I was 8 are still there. All of the top floor is the same from when I was 8 and i am 25.My son was bored. The activities weren’t really all that exciting. We were there for about 20 minutes.my biggest issues? over 70 dollars for 2 adults and a kid.But hey atleast we get little stickers. It was the biggest waste of time. save your money.

Mel P — Google review

Came here with my 3 boys (7, 11, 13) and all of them were very engaged with all the hands on activities and exhibits. I had a lot of fun, too. This is a great place to visit with kids and it is right next to the rock and roll hall of fame. They offer ev charging stations in the parking lot, but I wish they had more of them.

Shopping mall

Shopping

The Arcade is a beautiful and ornate indoor shopping mall that was built in 1890. Today, the Hyatt hotel occupies most of the mall, which offers stores, restaurants, and services. The Hyatt Regency Cleveland is located on the top of the mall and features 293 smoke-free guest rooms, lobby fireplace that warms guests during cold winters, and full-service spa to help end your day with a relaxing feeling.

Very classy and upscale hotel and indoor shopping venue. When we went there there was someone planning a wedding there so that my be something they do there as well. Looks like a older elegant train station feel to it.

A2Z R — Google review

What a beautiful place it is, it's a pity that many people don't know about it. There is a pleasant atmosphere and beautiful architecture and design. There are very few people, but if you haven't been there, definitely go, you won't regret it. The photos are simply wonderful, my children walked with delight and so did I

????? ? — Google review

Beautiful. Loved the architecture. The only problem is that other than the Hyatt hotel, there really isn't anything else here. I'm sure it was really a place to be back in the day when there were shops/restaurants operating here. The picture shows a setup for a wedding that was taking place there later that evening. Looked like a great venue.

Derek C — Google review

It’s one of the iconic places in Cleveland. It’s right in the middle of downtown and close to the bars, restaurants, shops etc. nearby. The hotel (Hyatt Regency) was nice. They accept pets and provide free Wifi. The room was clean although it was relatively small. The valet parking on-site was $48 per night, but you can find reasonable parking garages around the hotel.

M N — Google review

My daughter and I stayed in a room at The Arcade. When we walked into the main area we were in awe. So beautiful. Our room was very nice. It was a bit more modern than what the lobby/arcade area looks like. There was a wedding party getting photos in the main area so we weren’t able to walk around too much. If you are ever in downtown Cleveland you need to just walk through this area. It is truly stunning.

Adrianne — Google review

This is a beautiful piece of Ohio history & it's very cool inside. For the holidays it's decorated so incredible it's a must see. You'll want to take pictures of the gorgeous interiors for sure. There are shops & small businesses inside, but all have their own hours. The hotel would be amazing to stay in.

JM M — Google review

Great piece of Cleveland history. Feels like walking through the 1920s. Love the old school hat store. Need a fedora, they got you covered.

Mr M — Google review

Being a historic structure, the facility retains a touch of age. The lobby, though breathtaking, suffers from a lack of open businesses within the Arcade. The layout is a bit unconventional as well – the hotel's lobby is positioned at the building's rear, necessitating a walk through the entire Arcade to access the hotel elevator at the front. Nonetheless, the location is fantastic, conveniently close to downtown and the lakeshore, making it an ideal choice.

Emily S — Google review

The Arcade Cleveland opened in May of 1890 asthe first indoor shopping center in America. It quickly became one of downtown Cleveland’s most popular landmarks, and was nicknamed Cleveland’s Crystal Palace. It was modeled after the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy!Stunning walking amongst the floors and also seeing where Thomas Edison had his own store. Today the Hyatt Regency has a hotel on the 3rd floor where they turned each shop into a hotel room! It’s a must see icon if you visit Cleveland!

Michelle F — Google review

Amazing architectural structure. When people are not present the silence creates an awesome atmoshere! Cozy bars and restaurants offer a variery of options to stay in and enjoy the view.

Panayotis P — Google review

Fantastic experience! Worth the money for many reasons! Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful 1890s style hotel with modernized rooms, comfortable beds, clean rooms, large TV. We opted out of the 42$ valet parking and used the 20$ garage next door. Access to lots of places on foot from the front and rear entrances. Several shops inside including bar and restaurants. Walking distance to rock and roll hall, progressive field and the science center. Highly recommended!

James W — Google review

Beautiful building, it is now the Hyatt Hotel. The shops were closed when we were here. It was a Saturday. But a beautiful place to see.

Eva M — Google review

The interior is definitely worth checking out.I was surprised that 70% of the businesses were closed. Not sure why though 🤔.But the pictures ended up being great with no people on the background.

Ivan V — Google review

Neat looking spot. We filmed a scene in a movie back in like 2019 for a horror film scene and were able to do it easily without anyone knowing and checked out stores and even shot through the window of one of the stores. Great place to shoot some stuff and the spot looked great.

MMH P — Google review

Interesting architecture and classic marble and iron. Sad to see all the empty storefronts there however. Still worth visiting and spending a few minutes in it. You can get a real sense of how grand it must have been in its time, a real place to visit. City should offer special incentives to locate some newer or young startups or small businesses inside. Bring people to the area, good for all businesses and tourism..

PeterJ R — Google review

Well, I thought this was gonna be more of a shopping center than what it was. Don't get me wrong the place is beautiful but it's mostly the hotel. There is like one spa and one clothing store. Really not much unless you are staying here. Don't go out of your way to visit the shops. Also parking is not cheap either. ( This is definitely not one of those "absolutely have to see when visiting Cleveland activities")

Gillian — Google review

The mall portion seems to be maybe going under as on a Friday. There was not very many people there. Super pretty place to take pics!

Wonderful, historic building. Incredible architecture and a stroll around here really takes you back. Some shopping but many storefronts are empty and thats a shame. This place was one of the first buildings place on the national historic register. A nice treat so visit if you can.

Please revive the arcade, It's such a beautiful place. Every time I have visited Cleveland, it seems like more and more businesses have moved out. It is a great place for formal events such as weddings, receptions, banquets, etc. That's really all I ever see now and guests that are staying at the Hyatt. I do recommend stopping by to see part of Cleveland history and the beauty of this place.

This is legitimately one of the cultural attractions Cleveland has that is one of the best in the world. Indeed, if Severance Music Center isn't the absolute finest concert hall in America, then the Cleveland Orchestra is one of the best orchestras on the planet. If you are in Northeast Ohio, go to University Circle one night and give them a listen. You won't be disappointed.

What an incredible night with the Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus for Christmas 2022. The sounds were so pure and balanced, you could close your eyes and be swept away. The soloist had an incredible voice and the conductor engaged the audience and brought us into the season. We SO much appreciated the selection of arrangements, they brought out the true meaning of the season and made the event all the more enjoyable. Hopefully next year the Chorus will not be wearing masks and they will be less muffled.

Even though I enjoy the orchestra and the sound of the women musicians and choir sometimes it was a bit somber I was expecting some some arrangements to be more livelier found myself bored and falling asleep but still I enjoy the live instrumentation and to see a woman conductor that was very inspiring if you enjoy live music I do recommend this place

Musically exquisite but lacking guest service friendliness, especially for older folks. The website is difficult to manage and get details from in advance, such as parking options and dining options (they mention it but lack details). I showed up to park underneath, and there was a notice saying only prepaid and passes. I was 45 minutes early for the concert but was baffled at where to go. Street parking was only for 2 hours and taken. I finally went across the street and found a Case lot unattended w a phone pay system, and 3 others struggling to get the system to work. It took me 20 minutes, and about 6 tries to finally get it paid. Inside was a hive w a lobby full of things to buy and eat but little in directions on where to enter the house. Once inside, we had to seek out an usher several times to find our seat, and even they were confused and had to eventually find a house manager who then figured out what looked like a 3 on our phone screen for their Ticket Wallet app was really Row J. So much unnecessary stress and uncertainty for guests, and both of us are not new concertgoers (we work in the arts)! But we are over 60, and most everyone, including the staff, was also. These online solutions can be great but why not make them easier to use? I had been considering subscribing, but now, nope!

Cynthia R — Google review

My 2024 resolution is to better utilize local gems here in Northeast Ohio. The Cleveland Orchestra is seriously one of the best in the world! Tickets and parking together can be very adorable, in the $50 range. Saturday evening concerts tend to be a little more formal but you will still see folks wearing tees and jeans so you'll fit in no matter what you wear. Thurston Anna Friday nights you'll see more people wearing business casual, Saturday more suits and dresses, and Sunday afternoons are family friendly, quite casual.

Melinda S — Google review

Outstanding. My first time seeing the Cleveland Orchestra but will not be my last. Excellent music and a beautiful venue.

Amazing experience at the Orchestra for the Christmas concert. This was my first orchestra experience so I didn't know what to expect, but it was truly magical. The building is beautiful and has so much history and the performance was so moving. I loved that they didn't make it totally secular and included all the classical Christmas songs such as "Silent Night", "Joy to the World" and "Mary Did You Know". We may have to make this a new Christmas tradition!

Shibu T — Google review

Lake View Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Cleveland and is home to many impressive memorials, tombs, and sculptures. It is favored by wealthy families during the Gilded Age, and was founded back in 1869. Its grounds and gardens are located just east of the University Circle.

This is the most beautifully manicured cemetery I've ever been to, which is a lot. This is gorgeous in every season but late spring or fall are the most incredible with the colors.

JM M — Google review

This is the coolest place! Walk it to get some exercise and make sure to visit the Haserot Angel, the Wade Chapel, and The Garfield Memorial. So much attention to detail in these piece. There are some hills and inclines so wear proper shoe. It is also drivable for those who don’t want to hike.

Lake View Cemetery is an amazing place to find solace and view the final resting places of some of the nation’s most influential people. President James A. There’s also many wonderful architecture works within the location to enjoy. Definitely recommend as a quick stop to learn and appreciate the history, or as a peaceful walking location.

Beautiful grounds, mostly well maintained. We visited to see some of the famous graves and walk around.Bring a pen for Harvey Pekar.

Many of the grave markers are elaborate. Neat to drive through. President Garfield monument was closed when we arrived so we didn't get to see the inside. The "weeping" Haserot angel is something to see.

Beautiful cemetery. Countless beautiful and grand plots. Very fascinating experience. Place is huge.

One of my very favorite places in Cleveland, Lake View Cemetery is a gem. Yesterday I ate at the picnic table right beside President Garfield's tomb. If you haven't been, it is definitely worth the visit.

Beautiful Wade Chapel at Lake View Cemetery! Thank you Diana for being so knowledgeable and for teaching us about Tiffany’s art work displayed all around the chapel.

Lake View Cemetery is a beautiful place to visit. It's one of Cleveland's gems. You just have to go and experience the place.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to walk and enjoy some history . Had a very helpful sexton show us a couple spots and gave us a map of some key places and gravesites to visit . It would have been helpful to have those maps in a place visitors to pick up and better signage to know when you could visit inside Presidential burial place .

Very impressive and beautiful cemetery. Tons of mausoleums, monuments and graves of some well known public figures. John D. Rockefeller, lawman Eliot Ness, the man that created the term "rock and roll" Alan Freed (even placed one of my guitar picks on his tombstone), President James Garfield's "castle", and comic book writer Harvey Pekar just to name a few. Very tranquil and peaceful locale. Was even greeted by a mom and two younger deer while visiting.

One of the most amazing cemetery I ve ever seen.

Hidden gem within 'The Land' full of history and grandeur. If you love art and classic architecture, then you should visit. Almost all of the major streets in Cleveland have been named after prominent people buried here. The greatest treasure of them all is the James A. Garfield Monument, which is currently being restored. It should be completed in time for the 2020 season.

This is a very beautiful and historic cemetery. We walked around a bit before heading to the daffodil hill area. Highly recommend viewing the flowers when they are at peak, around mid-April.

Lakeview Cemetery is a quite interesting sight to visit in Cleveland. Despite being a cemetery, if you think there aren't any graveyards there, the place really feels like a park or a hiking trail and is calming too. One thing to note though is that no biking allowed inside the cemetery. Driving is.

The Cleveland History Center is a museum that showcases the history of Northeast Ohio and its people. It has a permanent exhibit as well as an extensive collection of items from local history. The center also has an impressive library for research into regional history.

I wish I could give more than five stars. The floor housing a significant part of the automotive exhibit is undergoing major renovations and I didn’t see this on their website. Staff response to my concerns was beyond my expectations. The displays that are available are outstanding and unique. Cleveland definitely has a treasure in both the exhibits and the staff!

Overall nice museum have been her about once a year for past 10 years, and will go back. Downfall: we wish there were more kids or hands on exhibits. When they remodeled, they took away the majority of the kids’ stuff. Love the addition of the era wardrobe with the cars. The Euclid Carousel is a fun classic and enjoyable experience. Nice that we get to go in the mansion too.

Great way to spend an afternoon! The shop is really cute as well with lots of Cleveland themed things. You do not have to purchase admission to visit the shop if you just want to look around.

Lots to see. Interesting to learn about the early history of Cleveland. Small parking lot behind the museum or park in the Natural History Museum garage nearby.

LORMC N — Google review

This place was disappointing, to be honest. The car and women's rights exhibits were fine, and the mansion housing some other exhibits was beautiful, but we learned very little about the city and its people. They could've presented a more comprehensive and cohesive collection that tells the story of the city and highlights its industrial and cultural significance. Instead, what we saw was disjointed and uninspired. Some serious curatorial work is in order. In addition, it was difficult to move about when most of the space has been taken over by an events company that was dressing up one of the halls. They made us feel like we were getting in their way and just wanted to get rid of us.So yeah, this place was a real letdown and it's hard to recommend this to anyone interested in local history and culture.

Went for the Ferrari exhibit, very nice. A low key museum, not crowded, not overwhelming, but not really world class. That being said, if you have small children and do not take them here for a ride on the beautifully restored Euclid Beach Park carousel, you are living your life wrong! 😊

Glenn M — Google review

Such a wonderful experience, the architecture of the building is absolutely beautiful, so much history of Cleveland from photos to videos, live recordings to listen to, and many artifacts. It truly is a must see in Cleveland. Note: Ypu habe to take a rode on the 100 year old carousel that used to reside at Euclid Beach Park before it closed. The carousel itself has a beautiful history.

Definitely visit this place if you love automobiles and planes. There are many exhibits of motorcycles and cars from different eras. There's also a carousel which runs every 20 minutes and is included in the ticket. Entrance is free for CWRU students.

HL Y — Google review

First museum in the US I've been to, pretty much set the standard. They have distinct display in each section of the building, like it time travels you to another era. What stands out the most was the car collection, one entire building is just for it.Map is easy to follow, they have a coat rack for your heavy coats.Parking is just adjacent to the entrance, maybe $10.Museum ticket is as stated in the website. If your a museum rat, you can skip this but a good starter for those who wants to explore.

Went to the HFLA donor thank you event. A great organization that gives interest free loans to entrepreneurs and personal needs. Google it and get involved. And a great place to have the event to learn about the history of Cleveland.

Well laid out introduction to Cleveland history. Some exhibits could use better signage. Large car collection, two gilded era mansions housing displays, plan on two hours. The large working carousel and imaginative play spaces for children make this a family friendly destination.

The Cleveland History Center is a great place to visit. It wasn't crowded and had a wide array of different exhibits. The cars were especially cool to look at.

Nathan C — Google review

CHC is a beautiful venue, including the Rotunda, the gardens for photos, and the library. We booked the carousel for our reception, and it was a memorable part of the day. We loved the central location in Cleveland, and there were good hotel options nearby. The guests loved the classic cars, and lots of guests commented on how unique and cool the venue was. For the most part, the staff members were friendly, especially the folks who ran the carousel. The point person, Brianna, had a good understanding of the space and sent us pictures of other wedding setups at the venue so we could get an idea of the look. Our biggest challenge with this venue (and our biggest challenge planning our wedding reception overall) was working with the point of contact at CHC, Brianna. We had read reviews online prior to selecting this venue that mentioned that Brianna was difficult to communicate with and nonresponsive. We took those comments into account and planned to be proactive in our communications, but we did not realize the extent of the communication challenges we would face. Brianna did not communicate in a timely or complete matter. There were several occasions where it would take multiple attempts over weeks for Brianna to respond. Some of our questions were complicated, so we understood some delay, but she would not even acknowledge receipt of our messages. This seemed to extend to some of our vendors, as our DJ could not get ahold of her until we called and she was very short with the florist, who had also been struggling to get in contact with her. Brianna was also not flexible in scheduling meetings with us and would often arrive late. The most egregious example of bad communication was when we (the bride, groom, and father of the groom) received an email at 9pm the night before the wedding saying that some of the alcohol we had selected was not actually available. We only saw the message by happenstance, so we scrambled and made it work, but that's a serious misstep that suggests that CHC was only verifying their alcohol roster less than a day ahead of a large event. We’re not sure what Brianna’s backup plan would have been if we didn’t answer that email. Was she planning to call us the morning of our wedding? This did not feel professional and was extremely frustrating.During our reception, the Rotunda got uncomfortably hot, despite it being a nice day in April (maybe 70 degrees). The CHC staff weren’t very forthcoming with ideas about how to cool the area down. They at one point said the temperature could not be changed because of some rule against it, and the staff was rude to the mother-of-the-bride when she asked about the temperature being adjusted. It was so hot that we (the bride and groom) had to leave the reception to go outside to cool down. A member of the staff did later apologize for the heat and the rude treatment. He explained that the HVAC had been damaged in the fire so it would take a long time for the building to cool down. In Brianna’s best move of the night, she brought the bride an excellent electric fan. After the sun went down and the air had been running for about an hour, things cooled down. One of the reasons we picked the venue was because of a scenic library we could use for pictures. Well, the library burned down six months before the wedding, and no one told us until we asked about it during our walkthrough a month before the wedding. To be clear, the fire was a tragedy, and we still got great pictures in the other library, but it would have been nice to know that we had to pivot.Okay, let's wrap this up. CHC is a great location that seems to be suffering a bit from mismanagement that introduces additional stress and work when planning a reception there. If you can handle that, it's an amazing venue, especially if you love the idea of a history museum. Keep in mind, it's expensive to hold your wedding reception here. The base cost of reserving the space is high, not including alcohol or the carousel fee. Be prepared to go the extra mile in handling logistics...because CHC won't.

Josie D — Google review

This is a nice museum with self guided displays of local Cleveland history. The carousel rides are unlimited with admission ticket. No food available. The gift shop was underwhelming. Has a small play place for smaller children. The play place is generic and not a learning/hands on type of play place. There was no wait to get in or to see any displays. There was very little traffic throughout the museum. We did the museum in little over an hour looking at and reading most of the displays.

Zoo

Zoos & Aquariums

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is one of the most popular Zoos in Northeast Ohio. The zoo has a wide range of attractions, including an African savanna, Asian highlands, Australian adventure, a lush rainforest and more. There are also 4D theaters and the Ben Gogolick Giraffe Encounter.

I love this zoo. You can see the care they put in for all the animals, from the new habitats for the tigers and leopards to the invertebrates in the Rainforest building everyone is so well cared for. Very clean and well landscaped too. I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance, or if you're local going in for the membership. It pays for itself in just a few visits and it's such an amazing organization to support.

Took my grandchildren to the Asian Lantern Festival and they loved it! The photos are just a small fraction of the attractions and exhibits that they displayed! It was so much to see and really beautiful, but be prepared to put on your comfortable walking shoes! You can either walk through or drive-through...$66 for 4 pack tickets, is not bad. $22 if purchased separately! Really a unique experience!

Chris N — Google review

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a must stop for year-long fun. During summer you can visit the animals, in fall plan a visit for Boo at the Zoo. My family's favorite tradition is to visit the Cleveland Zoo for Wild Winter Nights. Walking through the beautiful light displays and listening to the carols is a holiday treat. You think it would be too cold, but a hot chocolate or mulled cider warms you up! This year, we tried the drive-through, and it was just as enjoyable! I look forward to seeing Wild Winter Nights in winter, as much as I enjoy visiting the animals during summer.

Very nice zoo. Animals looked well cared for. Everything was decorated for the lantern festival which we didn't get to see but looked like it would be amazing. Couple of nice play areas for kids to stop at and run for a bit. They have a gigantic "tree" for kids to play in called Billy's tree house complete with a slide a bridge and an animatronic alligator. Anyone with 12 under crowd should definitely check it out.

Olympia E — Google review

Excellent experience all around, would highly recommend! Exhibits were well laid out and cleaned, and other foliage/scenery was delightfully themed as well. Overall layout was quite good, although there could be some improvements on directional signage. The rainforest experience was excellent, wrapping up an amazing visit!

Kendall R — Google review

Amazing zoo! Very well-kept. Saw so many animals up close and many unique animals we had never seen at other zoos. We were here during the lantern festival during the daytime and even though the lanterns weren't lit up they were beautiful and added so much to the experience. Lots of great food options too. We were visiting from out of state and were very impressed with this zoo.

Katherine M — Google review

Another incredible zoo experience with abundant animal and aquatic exhibits. The grounds were gorgeous, and improvements are in the works.Perhaps the only ding is that one must retrace their steps several times to go from one habitat to another. Lots of walking; we covered over 5 miles on our visit. Would prefer a loop network or some other connections to avoid backtracking.

My wife, son (aged 8 months), and I went on a Sunday and it was a wonderful time! We got close to some of our favorite animals (elephants and giraffes) and had a great time exploring the various areas and exhibits. Tickets were $19 for adults and under 2 got in for free which was great. If you have kids and are looking for a good outing I recommend checking it out! Also, they have a nice nursing / comfort station by the entrance restrooms. My wife used it to feed my son and it was great to have a spot to do so with privacy.

I recently visited With family in the local zoo and I must say it was an incredible experience. The variety of animals was impressive, ranging from majestic big cats to playful primates and exotic birds. The zoo had well-maintained enclosures that resembled natural habitats, providing a comfortable and safe environment for the animals.Overall, I had a fantastic time at the zoo. It was educational, entertaining, and provided a great opportunity to connect with nature and wildlife. I would highly recommend visiting this zoo to anyone looking for an enjoyable and educational day out.

Great zoo to spend the day at! Was clean, well laid out, and busy as ever! Make sure to wear nice walking shoes, there is not always a paved trail to walk on.. for the primate, cats, & aquatic area you have to walk up a steep stairway/ramp, but it was worth the trek. There is food & drinks along the way, but don't forget your extra water. Several bathrooms along the way as well.

Callie P — Google review

I have gone countless times in the last 6 months and I have still yet to see everything! Staff is always helpful and friendly and willing to speak with guests and it gives for a better experience. I know that the staff there work extremely hard and I appreciate all that they do. I definitely bring family and friends of all ages there everyone can have a great time.

This is a nice enough zoo. The landscaping is quite nice. The current resident artist has gorgeous sculpture installations. The animals we did see were very nice and well taken care of. Things that bumped the rating down for me: the map is terrible, like literally almost impossible to make actual sense of. You're better off wandering around hoping you come across what you're looking for. There's a lot of dead space. Again, the landscaping is very well done, but you're walking trough significant portions of the zoo with not much to look at or interact with. Being close to Columbus, it's a super tough comparison because the zoo in Columbus is absolutely amazing. It was worth going, but not my favorite zoo.

Elise G — Google review

Asian Lantern festival was beautiful. The show was quite entertaining and the food tasty. Could not if asked for a better night to walk around and admire the festive lights.

J-Kube — Google review

The zoo is such a fun place to go, and the Asian Lantern Festival is just a spectacular event. Going early affords you better pictures but as night time falls the colors just jump out at you. Some of the displays move. The whole park is decorated with exhibits and whether you're young or old I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Nancy P — Google review

Been here for normal zoo hours and it's a great zoo. Has tons of animals, is a good size to spend a few hours walking around. But it's not too big that you might not make it to every area of the zoo before you leave. Nice and clean, friendly staff. Has a good selection of food if you come hungry. And I love all the events they do. I come here every year for the Asian lantern festival and it's always a good time. They have so many unique decorations put up. It also different every year. Definitely try to show up when it's starting to get dark so you can really enjoy all the lights they have up

Amazing zoo. I have been all over the country to see zoos and this one is one of my favorites. Each exhibit is well crafted and there are lots of animals to see. I definitely recommend going early in the morning so you can take your time. The parking lot fills up quickly. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this if you are a fan of zoos.

Forest L — Google review

We visited the zoo on a Sunday night in August to see the Lantern Festival. We only had a few animal.sightings, so I can't say much about that. However, the Festival we went for was amazing. We were there a little before dark, so we had a chance to see everything before and after it was lit up. If you have a chance to visit the zoo for this event, I highly recommend doing so. Absolutely beautiful with lots of photo ops and just a really awesome experience to walk through (we did not do the driving tour).

One of the most beautiful and well kept zoos I have been too. Delicious food, fun extra activities, great hands on play and experience for the kids to enjoy. The elephant exhibit was particularly amazing. We love visiting even though we are from out of town and the Zoo is so large we spend hours there without seeing it all! So fun!

Very cool new Dino walk through. With kids I would recommend the Wild Saving pass. We did the carousel x5, octopus 4d , ( which was a whole lot better than I expected), the dino walk through and the train. It's a big zoo with kids, maybe 1.5 days to see everything.Kids LOVED the playgrounds. They have 3. The one in the Australian part of the zoo was their favorite.

I’ve been a member of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for years now. I love coming up here with my son and spending the whole day. We always look forward to the annual Asian Lantern Festival and the Winter Lights Festival and have made them a tradition. So much to do and I feel like I get a workout in as well. Being a member is also great because you can add the Total Experience package and that allows me and my 4 yr old to ride the train and carousel endlessly! The food options aren’t bad, and we never have trouble finding seating. I do wish the gift shop had a little more variety and rotation of items.

Madelyn J — Google review

We always have a blast at the zoo! The pass that includes most attractions is worth it for sure, but I do wish it included everything and not just a discount on the others. I'd definitely suggest packing lunch/drinks because food is super expensive, but there are drinking fountains.

Molly T — Google review

This is a really cool zoo. The animals are awesome! The exhibits are close up and personal with many of the animals (safely, of course). There are a plethora of refreshments available as well!

Carl G — Google review

We were in Cleveland for a few days and wanted to check the zoo out. We went on a Monday thinking there would be less people than the weekend. Sadly mistaken. It must've been field trip day because there were hundreds of kids there from all different schools. Luckily we were able to break past the groups of kids, only to find that the apes are up a ridiculously long inclined walk. Everything is spaced very far apart. We were there almost 2 hours and only got to see the elephants, a cheetah, primates/aquatic area and the kangaroos. We always go to the zoos in each new city we go to and this was a bust. Definitely need to plan on spending quite a few hours and a lot of walking if you're going to see everything. We didn't even end up staying to finish the rest of the zoo. We really wanted to enjoy ourselves, but with all the walking in the heat and the overwhelming crowds of kids, it was just too much.

Krystal K — Google review

Wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking through this beautiful zoo. Animals look well-kept and staff appear to really care for them. Lots of families with young children, nice place to spend a few hours. Events ran through the day and we had a great time - you better believe we rode the carousel during our visit!

Theresa J — Google review

We love the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. We have had a family membership for several years. We recommend the family plus membership plus experience so you can bring 2 additional adults and go on train, 3d theater, and carousel. Go on a weekday other than Monday for smaller crowds and better experience.

I had the pleasure to visit during their Corpse Flower bloom in summer 2022.It was the highlight and reason for visiting, and it was stellar! Zoo staff were also amazing for the massive line that formed, and general guidance. It was my first time at the zoo, and I got to see all of the animals on display, as well as attend the Asian Lantern Festival. It is an interactive zoo, and has plenty of animals on display, and educational opportunities.

Viktor P — Google review

A beautiful zoo! Mature forest and well maintained grounds. Pretty spread out so be prepared for some serious and challenging walking although they do offer a free shuttle to the primate, cat & aquatics area...but it's a very nice walk up the boardwalk, just easier back down.African area is great. Elephants and rhino aren't to be missed. Giraffe feeding is always fun and a challenge to make them use the 18" tongue and work for it. Waterfowl lake is beautiful. Wilderness trek is a trek but don't miss it! Only really disappointing area was Australia. Aviary was closed and the kangaroo walk-about isn't the free range walk-about I've experienced in most other zoos.Wrist band is worth it, especially if you have kids. Gets you the 4D theater, carousel, train and discounts on other attractions. Be there for elephant crossing, either morning or evening.Been here many times since my first visit in June of 2023 including the Asian Lantern Festival and Wild Winter Lights. And finally got a membership.

Kenneth H — Google review

Best Zoo I've been to. Everything was well designed so that you could have multiple views of each exhibit. The educational signs around the park were really neat too. Very clean. Animals are clearly cared for and seem content. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful place!

One of the best zoos I’ve visited so far.We only saw half of the zoo since it was very hot and we had three toddlers. We were able to check out the Dino area and also got to see the Swan turning her eggs. It’s definitely a lot of walking here so wagon, lots of water and snacks are recommended. Would definitely come back!

Miki G — Google review

We love the zoo! They say the membership pays for itself in 2 visits, and they’re honestly not lying. We have gone so many times this past year, taken advantage of the discounted tickets for their after hours specials, and have also taken advantage of their concessions and gift shops. It’s the perfect excursion for us to do as a family, and the membership really has saved us a ton of money. All of the employees and volunteers are soooo friendly, and love sharing their knowledge on the animals, and even the personalities of each individual one. I will forever sing the Cleveland Metroparks’ Zoo’s praises, and highly recommend the membership to anyone and everyone.

Courtney P — Google review

A great Zoo! Animals are really taken care of and was super clean. Even in the winter when it’s cold, they do a great job making sure the animals are comfortable. I went in late February; a lot of the shops where closed and the train was closed for the season but the layout of the park is like a huge circle and easy to see all the exhibits. For me ( no kids and mid thirties) I saw everything within three hours. They also have plenty of places to sit and rest and restrooms in every area.

Monica D — Google review

Parking was free and easy to get to. A couple of exhibits were closed. The flamingos weren't out either. Very beautiful zoo. Lots of dead space while walking. We did the zip cord thing and that was a very beautiful and interesting experience. Mostly good encounters with animal viewing. Nice and clean zoo. Bathrooms were clean. It had plenty of family options for kids.

Amy L — Google review

Wow, where to begin? I can only think to say it is so amazing! The enclosures allow you to hey very up close and personal with so many animals. That said, the animals themselves had ample space to roam and play and do as they wish. Which in itself is very cool. From the elephants, when you first walk into the primates on the hill, every area has something worth stopping for and standing in awe. Well worth the price of admission. The park itself is quite large, so be ready to walk. It also seems to have been developed right into the natural topography, so there are more than a few hills and valleys. I suggest taking the tram up to the primates, cat, and aquatics. Do take the deckwalk back down. The zipline is really fun and worth the few extra dollars. We did not partake in the other activities but would have done the feeding of the giraffes if it had been open.Food options when we went were limited, but I did notice there were plenty of options for the warmer months. We ended up getting chicken strips and fries for lunch. One basket fed us both for $15. They were good.We both wore backpacks and brought snacks and bottled water. Make sure to recycle your empties and deposit your trash. The park was well maintained from the parking lot to the rainforest and the grounds.Speaking of the rainforest, it was amazing. It's very warm inside, so dress appropriately. That said, check it out as it came with our admission to the park. You'd be missing out on some 600 more animals in a very meticulous setting. All said, this was one of our favorite zoos.100% recommend and 100% will be back.

Samual E — Google review

We always have fun at this zoo! But we were sad to find out that the primate building is closed right now. We are in town for such a short time, we missed seeing one of our favorite areas. The play area in the Australia section was a lot of fun for my kids. I hope we'll have a chance to come back!

Laura L — Google review

Loved the Rainforest exhibit! Walking the zoo with a group of kids was pleasant due to the abundance of shade. The kids loved running down the forest boardwalk, but it is a steep climb (so I recommend using the tram to that part of the zoo).

The Cleveland Orchestra performs in Severance Music Center, an elegant concert hall with a beautiful architecture. The hall has been the home of the orchestra since 1931 and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful concert halls in America.

Beautiful concert hall with parking right next door. Cleveland Orchestra was amazing and nailed Princess Bride. Hope they do that one again. The ushers were very helpful when my seat was fully blocked by a post. They also found my lost license and called me. Amazing service all around!

This was a wonderful experience this event was sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic who I would like to thank for inviting members of the Cleveland sight Center the whole event was well planned and we enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres and the refreshments before the show if anyone has never experienced an orchestra before they would enjoy listening to the live music from the great composer Mozart and watching the musicians and the conductor perform this was a great experience I am recommending this place to everyone

Oh my Severance Hall! Well where do you start…Cleveland Orchestra, the sound of the music, the beauty of the hall, or all the good they do in the community. I am a subscriber and attend concerts regularly. When I first started going like 14 years ago it blew my mind how any one person could compose these movements. Go watch or close your eyes and just imagine what it takes to compose such beautiful music.

Took my son here for the first time last night and we were blown away by the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was so excited to share their passion for the hall and for the arts with us. The orchestra was phenomenal, of course. Great first experience, we will definitely be back.

A gorgeous Concert Hall with marble floors and some marble walls and pillars. The Hall is elegant and palatial with incredible architecture and artistic details. There are multiple levels and all have fantastic unobstructed views of the stage. The acoustics are sharp and clear. The seats are somewhat small though. The entire facility is sparkling clean. The parking garage is very convenient and reasonably priced. The Cleveland Orchestra is fabulous and their performance is flawless. It is truly a memorable and worthwhile experience.

The Cleveland Orchestra sounded incredible. Knowing they are one of "The Big Five", I was still blown away. Severance Hall is an absolute work of art. Gorgeous inside and out. The gentleman that takes the tickets, Alan, was very hospitable and super cool guy. He explained the history of the Hall and things to look for at the Hall. Definitely the best concert hall staff I've encountered. I will be returning to Cleveland & Severance.

Cleveland orchestra is one of the best orchestras I have seen.I listened to their performance of Beethoven's seventh and few of Mozart compositions.

Joanne gave us truly the best private tour of Severance Hall. She was so informative and true joy and her 15 years of working there really shows. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to give a tour. Ask for Joanne and know that you’re in for a fantastic evening of history and MUSIC! 🎼 🎵

Magnificent concert hall! A perfect orchestra! A stunning performance of Beethoven's Third Symphony! Check out the Cleveland Orchestra, you won't regret it!

Amadeus with the Cleveland Orchestra was wonderful. The parking garage was another story. People were driving around and around trying to find a spot. Some ended up parking alongside the ramps going up. Quite stressful as we were going to miss the beginning of the show. It wasn't until we had been in there a while that a parking attendant, not sure where they were to begin with, directed us to a spot very close to where we had entered. I didn't catch why the elevators weren't running, but climbing staircase after staircase was exhausting. My knees are bad so that didn't help. It was even worse coming down.

The Sacred Veil was outstanding! The facilities were first class and parking with the advanced pass was super easy. I hope we go back soon!

This is an absolutely beautiful hall. The sound is amazing & the seats are quite comfortable.

It was an amazing experience witnessing Cleveland’s own orchestra center. Its majestic and in all ways magical. Fortunately, I am so close that I have been to the center multiple times and everytime I come back with a sense of awe :)

Incredible venue. There are a lot of stairs to climb so do be prepared, but the theater is beautiful. Acoustics are amazing. We saw Mozarts The Magic Flute and were blown away.

The most beautiful orchestral hall with excellent acoustics! A must experience in Cleveland !

We received tickets to go see Hannigan conduct. We went in blind not really knowing the pieces that were going to be played. As we listened we read the program to gain a bigger understanding of the meaning behind each piece and gained a greater appreciation to each piece.Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful venue and spectacular orchestra. This is a must try even if you're not an avid classical listener. An experience everyone should try once.

Andy K — Google review

Beautiful building. It's worth getting there early and exploring. I prefer sitting up top as it's more of a gradient on the seats for views. Note: if you get a open drink, you can't bring it into the hall with you.Their parking garage is convenient, just expect some time getting out. There's also various street parking around, but that is always full.

Severance represents music at its finest.I'm a full-time DJ and love music, however the precision talent and capability of Cleveland symphony is unreal and must be seen live to appriciate it.

We saw the famous Yoyo Ma. It was an amazing performance!

The Princess Bride was awesome, the idea to play the soundtrack live while the movie plays is genius. Definitely a way to get kids to appreciate the arts.

We had a lovely ground floor view near the harpist for this year's last Christmas Concert of the season. To be honest, you cannot put a review on the world's finest orchestra - their ability to bring joy, peace, and wonder no matter what composers cross their stands is truly immaculate, and if you haven't had a chance to listen to them solo or in conjunction with one of the many choral groups that share the stage, you are truly missing out. Cheers to 2023 and looking forward to an amazing 2024 season!

History museum

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is a great place to visit for anyone interested in the natural world. They have a great collection of specimens from all over the world, and their exhibits are always interesting and well-made. If you're looking for something to do with your kids, they've got a great outdoor animal exhibition too.

We had an absolutely delightful experience at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History! They have a wide variety of fascinating exhibits! They have added an outdoor animal viewing area, which we really enjoyed! It's a great place for the whole family!

Shannon M — Google review

My family really enjoyed our time at the Natural History Museum. My favorite part was the mining area! It was really neat to see what different elements look like. I also enjoyed seeing all of the animals. The reason why this is a 4 star and not a 5 is due to the layout of the museum. It was not very intuitive and we had to do a lot of backtracking in order to make sure that we didn’t miss any of the exhibits. I’m hoping when the new museum opens that it will have a better layout. All in all though, it was a great experience and I look forward to returning! The most fun thing I learned is that the T-Rex was actually just a big chicken! 🦖 = 🐓 (refer to photos!)PS: the gift shop here is amazing and benefits ongoing programs at the museum!

Sunday Morning my Son ( 13) and I took in the Museum of Natural History. Parking $10.00 the museum tickets were $20 adults and $10 kids. There were like 3 dinosaur's pieces a Prehistoric Fish, and Lucy the oldest skeleton. The rest of the museum attractions are closed and will be open January 2024. Bummer 😫We spent about 40 mins and seen the whole 3 floors. It was a let down but I'll go back next year!

I absolutely loved my visit to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. It was disappointing that the dinosaur exhibit was still under construction, but I look forward to seeing it when it’s ready. This was my first time at a museum, and it exceeded my expectations. The history exhibits were fascinating, especially learning about Lucy and seeing moon rocks. I was mesmerized by the gems, stones, granites, and precious metals on display. The live animal show was engaging and informative, particularly the segment about turtles.I also enjoyed the 3D movie and the astronomy exhibits featuring Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. The $5 VR game with butterflies and dinosaurs was amazing, and the small bird and animal area with eagles, owls, and bobcats was a nice touch. Entry is $10, but it’s free for locals. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to return for the dinosaur exhibit.

Suzayn — Google review

This was my first time back since I was a kiddo. Boy, have they upgraded..The wildlife area was my favorite part and my daughter absolutely loved the dino exhibits. Masks were required for the first 2 hours after the opened but nit required after noon.

Nicole W — Google review

Something for everyone to enjoy. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Nice presentation of snapping turtle. Good displays of artifacts. Outdoor area is a must to see. Animals all looked healthy, well cared for in their environments.Handicapped accessibility for at least 99% of visitor areas. Attached parking garage is conveniently located. Looking forward to returning when construction is finished!

Scott E — Google review

Main attractions were not on display due to renovations that won't be completed until 2024. None of the taxidermy animals were available for viewing, that's one of the main reasons to go! Nice upgrades and additions for the kiddos though. Big things are in the works and great things are on the way! Until then it was an ok experience. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed herself.

Tenaya M — Google review

Great museum where we had a lot of fun. We were amazed about the children's friendly exhibitions about dinosaurs and animals and nature in general. The most fun thing for our son was the demonstration about local animals like a turtle and a snake. The presenter was really funny to listen to. The snake could be touched since she wasn't a poisonous one and now our son wants a snake as a pet. 😅

Stefan K — Google review

So the museum is partially opened as of October 15, 2023. The visitor center is open to the public, Balto, Lucy and Happy are on public display. The wildlife center is fully opened as well as the gift shop and cafe. Currently the bottom floor has a discovery center that’s great for kids and has the cast of Lucy’s skeleton. The second floor has a small art gallery. While the visitor center and wildlife center is fully opened, the museum as a whole won’t be open until December 2024.I would still recommend seeing the visitor center along with the wildlife center. It’s still a great place to go for the family.

While visiting Cleveland, we decided to check out this museum. Unfortunately we didn't look into it much and were totally unaware that they are under construction and most things you would hope to see were all off exhibit. The staff were helpful and so kind, as we debated if we should find something else to do or stick around. The 3d movies were both cool, the wilderness exhibit was awesome, and the planetarium was possibly my favorite part. If we are ever in Cleveland again we will definitely return to see everything. 5 stars all day.

Ashlee U — Google review

What a great afternoon at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History! Parking and entrance were easy to navigate. The entrance fee was affordable and the outdoor wildlife was an unexpected bonus for our impromptu visit. We were just in time for the porcupine feeding….that’s when I discovered the porcupine is my spirit animal (they prefer to be alone 90% of the time!!), the snowy owl has been on my bucket list for years, and the albino raccoon was equally adorable as we caught him getting his dinner.Cleveland has so much to offer… each and every time I visit, I find a new gem.

Emily G — Google review

My children really enjoy the museum. Great staff and security. There are educators carrying out demonstrations in a few exhibits. The kids really enjoy the presentation giving on the wildlife rescue animals which will soon be released into the wild. The building seems to always be under construction though; causing some sections to be closed. Overall the price was not bad. We paid 100 bucks for the family pack membership, good for a year. Perfect for us; being 2 adults and 4 kids. I'm expecting next years price to increase with the completion of construction and new exhibits but I'm OK with it if it does. Would've received 5 stars if all exhibits are open. Oh and the Otters are a real treat. We could sit and observe them forever if we can.

Johnny V — Google review

What a great way to spend the day! We had such a fantastic time here. The amount of fascinating exhibits took me by surprise. There was so much to learn as well as being mesmerized by your surroundings. We took our time and spent about 3 hours absorbing all the museum had to offer. From the dinosaurs, to the gemstones we were blown away. Can't wait to come back and do it again! We visited on MLK day and entry was free.

Natalee — Google review

I always enjoy visiting this museum. However, they currently are remodeling the whole place. Only 10% of the space is open for guests visit at this moment. There's a VR flying experience for $5 and 3D movie on dinosaurus. The lower level space has a Play area for children and some bugs collections. If that counts! We still had a great time though. The outside mini zoo is also open for a visit.

Y_canggih — Google review

This place is so much fun, especially for the price! $7 is so well worth it, parking ended up $12 which is also fair for the area and access to other places. Came as a tourist and would recommend it to others visiting. Easy to get to from downtown and plenty to do for an afternoon. I’m excited to see how it is after their remodel as well!

Travers M — Google review

We visited on Mother's Day (after seeing the zoo was absolutely packed), and I'm SO glad we did! The Mother's Day activities were perfect. We played gemstone bingo, and got to see some very happy animals. The animal area is incredible - it's clear the critters are well cared for. While a good portion of the museum was closed for the renovations, there was plenty for our 4 year old to enjoy. The animal encounter programs, movies and activities make for a unique experience. Staff was incredibly friendly, and the facilities was sparkling clean. My only gripe is the cost of parking, as admission was $27 for a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 kid and 1 baby) and parking was an additional $10. But we may look into membership options to save money in the future.

Michelle — Google review

Many exhibits are under renovation but they were great about making sure you know this before entering, and a reduced admission cost reflected the situation. Immaculate, excellent signage, nice exhibits, 2 included 3-D movies, and an outdoor animal space with live presentations by keepers made for a wonderful 2-hour visit! Not at all crowded.

Ellen S — Google review

Mr. Josh, who presented at the animal encounter was so awesome! He made the whole trip for us. He was so knowledgeable and passionate during his presentation. We also really enjoyed the outside part of the museum. The had the big exhibit hall closed for renovations, so we moved through the rest of the museum quickly, but we enjoyed what they had open.

Rebecca H — Google review

We enjoyed our afternoon at the Museum. It's currently under renovations so not everything is open however, we still had a great time exploring, learning and interacting with some of the animals and seeing the exhibits. Construction ends and everything reopens December 2024. We will be back to see all of the improvements in the Spring!

Amy R — Google review

Cleveland Museum of Natural History was a great time. $10 for admission is awesome. The animal exhibits are good for all ages. I love how the animals have big enclosures. We watched a 3D film on the monarch butterflys that was very informative. Will be coming back when the remodeling is done.

C R — Google review

Great museum with plenty to do! So excited for the upcoming renovation reveal! It's going to make a great museum even better.

Frank F — Google review

This used to be my favorite museum in Cleveland until they started renovating. As of 1/3/24 about 80% of exhibits are closed. The areas that are open include the child zone for under 7 years old and the outdoor live animal exhibits. The cafeteria, gift shop, upper level art gallery (very small), lower level and main foyer have all been renovated with a handful of things to see in the foyer/great hall to see. Admission is still full price, so to off-set the lack of experience, they allow you to attend a 3D show in auditorium (remodeled) and planetarium both for free. Their anticipated opening date for the main part of the museum (pretty much all other exhibits) is Dec 2024! I’d suggest to not go until after then. …can’t wait to update my review in spring of 2025.

Natalie R — Google review

My kids had so much fun. Yes some exhibits were not open. They loved the one world with Big Bird and Elmo. Definitely coming back when everything opened up again

Heather B — Google review

We recently visited the museum, few exhibits were closed due to renovation. The person at the front desk told us upfront that we won’t be able to see all the exhibits and if still we wanted to buy tickets or not. But it is worth visiting once. My kids enjoyed their time there.

Aanchal N — Google review

During my recent visit to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, I had the opportunity to attend some excellent educational sessions. The museum is currently undergoing renovations, and while there may not be a plethora of exhibits available at the moment (reason fot 4/5 stars), the staff assured me that exciting additions are on the horizon. The highlight of the current collection is undoubtedly the two large dinosaur skeletons, which are both impressive and captivating. The educational sessions provided valuable insights, demonstrating the museum's commitment to offering informative experiences to its visitors. While the ongoing renovations may limit the number of exhibits currently on display, the potential for much more in the future is promising. I appreciate the museum's dedication to enhancing its offerings, and I look forward to returning to explore the expanded and renovated collections. For those interested in educational content and the fascinating world of dinosaurs, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is already worth a visit, with even more to anticipate in the near future.

This is not the natural History museum I grew up with. I was very disappointed to see all the interactive exhibits removed to be replaced with only a few exhibits feel what walls of reading.. there was two movies and one virtual ride that only allowed two children at a time. It was not fun to me as an adult I did not see a lot for children to do this does not feel like a fun family outing my grandchildren were ready to go they were extremely bored

Ms. T — Google review

A bit hard to rate as it is currently under renovation and not very open...but what was open was very nice and interesting. It was fun for both adults and the kids. Look forward to seeing it once it is fully open again.

The Cleveland Botanical Garden is a world-renowned botanical garden and education center with 20 gardens spread out over 4 acres. The Hershey Children's Garden is especially kid-friendly, featuring nature play areas, ponds, and honey bees. The gardens also feature plant collections from all over the world, as well as an outdoor greenhouse and conservatory.

This was such a magical place for us to be able to visit in the winter. The weather was just nice enough for us to be able to walk the outside gardens even though there weren't many things blooming out there. We loved the orchids, the turtles, the birds, and all of the beautiful ways in which the flowers were displayed. We purchased our first orchid before leaving and took some incredible pictures we want to share. If you get the chance to visit here, I'm sure you will get your money's worth! 🌼👍

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. We spend our time in the greenhouse where we got to see the butterflies in a more natural setting. There are flowers of all kinds from all around the world and different kinds of birds too. There are signs with pointers to what the bird breeds are and where the flowers grow in their natural habitats. We would like to go back one day soon to visit the outside gardens. We enjoyed our rainy day here inside and would definitely recommend this place if you have kids too. We love the butterflies!!

Mark H — Google review

Cleveland Botanical is probably the strangest place I ever visited. First time I went there, they had had a fire and were obviously closed. When I got there the second time, I said hello and mentioned this and asked if that was still the case. I also asked if I needed to bring my parking ticket in with me. The same long faced security guy directs me in the most monotone voice to proceed to the second floor by stairs or elevator to the ticket door. I run the steps and come out to a lobby with four host/csr. The dark haired fellow informs me I need my parking ticket. But he seems like he is absolutely miserable and stern. I feel like I intruded on his day. I told him no problem and ran back down and to parking deck, past the security to get my parking ticket and run back up. No one will make eye contact and the same angry guy begins to reach for my ticket and a pleasant lady plucks the ticket from my hand just before the exchange. She hands it back, all set. From that point on, every employee that worked there seemed absolutely miserable and one young lady stood completely frozen, not moving a muscle, facing a tree the entire time we were near her post as in the turtle area. She never moves for at least four minutes. Not a muscle. Like everyone is avoiding contact to the point they look like they are praying for invisibility. The botanical creation is a wonder. So many forms of life, pieced and molded together into one giant, magnificent creation. The entire thing is alive and magnificent and creepy too.At the base of the tree is a crack and if you stand on it, you can feel this rumble deep in the ground. That part was cool, but I have never felt so uncomfortable in a place, around the people, but mesmerized and the beauty and oddness of this creation.Even though I have a membership for a year, I won’t be returning. I am very put out that we were treated this way . We did not bother to explore further.

I would definitely recommend this place for anyone! It did get pretty hot in the butterfly damp room. But overall was absolutely beautiful! There is an indoor and outdoor portion. The outside was all dead, so we will definitely be coming back in the summer, but inside was amazing!

Nice and peaceful place to walk through! There was a lot to see and the glasshouse filled with butterflies was my favorite part. There were a ton of butterflies and some of them landed on people which was fun to see.I would definitely recommend coming during the spring or when flowers are in bloom :) And during a day when it isn’t too hot!

Gail S — Google review

We have been there many times over the years. Staff are friendly. They do small things to liven up the gardens from year to year. This year they have some blown glass pieces incorporated in couple areas. Our favorite was the tree houses they had 7(?) years ago, and there is still one that they kept. The indoor kids area connects to the main building and the butterfly jungle garden; it has been remodeled and expanded so it is engaging for kids 1-12 years of age. My favorite is when they have a staff bring a chameleon out, so we can get a close look! We went to the orchid special exhibit about 8 years ago and that was cool to see so many species. Will continue to go back.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE GARDENS! I love the interior glasshouses, the Costa Rica and Madagascar. I am so glad the butterfly release is back! I got to have a few butterflies land on me! It was the coolest thing.I have a membership and coming here doesn't get old at all! I got to walk around the outside grounds a bit and while there were a lot of spring blooms, it was still really dead, chilly and brown. I am really really looking forward to coming back in May and June to see all the new green!

The Cleveland Botanical Gardens was good, not great. I had high expectations for some gardens and was thoroughly surprised by others. The biggest disappointment was the kitchen garden, followed by the Japanese garden. The kitchen garden was installed in the shade and by someone without much knowledge of growing vegetables. The plants were very stunted and lacked vigor. I think it was due to shade, poor soil nutrition and late planting. I could do significantly better, in fact I do better every year in my yard. The Japanese garden was also disappointing. The water feature wasn't working and the arrangement looked like Western design. The species and varieties used were nice, but it didn't have the ambience I expected. The biggest surprise was the herb garden. It was phenomenal. The best garden in the botanical gardens. I wish things were labeled better, but the variety was fantastic. I'd love to see a book or interactive app on the species and varieties present here. The are was chock full of colorful blooms, pollinators, and variety. The glass houses were also really nice. The plants were arranged and displayed in interesting ways and the variety was great. My wife loves orchids, so it was great seeing a variety of those including the vanilla orchid. We're making it a point to return a few times next year to catch several seasons.

Sean S — Google review

The Cleveland Botanical Gardens are beautiful! The grounds are well kept and easy to follow the walkways. There are many flowers and plants, and all are labeled. There was even a glass blown area that was really cool.

You will NOT be disappointed. As a Cleveland resident, I've been to the botanical garden many times, but it was either to see something specific or in the winter time for the holiday lights. The other day, I took my eight year old grandson and was amazed again at how much there is to see and do here! The rainforest was full of butterflies, the desert box turtle was very active, and we spent a long time in the children's garden as well as the rest of the outdoor spaces. It's hard to believe that you're in the heart of the city. There are deep ravines, huge trees, and beautifully landscaped hillsides in addition to the flower and more formal gardens. He really enjoyed the three or four tree houses / observation towers that are scattered throughout the property. As a member, I felt comfortable taking him because I was not incurring any financial risk if he didn't like it, since my membership got us in for free (it is a combined membership with Holden Arboretum which is east of Cleveland, and is spectacular in its own right). But, we stayed the whole morning and had a great time.Whether you want a quiet place to eat your lunch away from all the hustle and bustle of University Circle, or you have serious interest in plants and gardens, this is the place for you!

It just kept going and going and we were so impressed. So many different sections, including a fun herb/perfume/kitchen garden. Gorgeous arrangement of plants as well.Super fun butterfly exhibit as well in the glasshouse!! We didn’t know it was there and it was a super fun surprise.Only thing is lots of areas looked neglected or were under renovation, but there were still lots of well-kept areas to explore.

We attended the event; music in the patio. The patio was beautiful and the flowers around the patio were nice too. The main entrance of the gardens are wheelchair accessible but the farther you go in it's more challenging. The bathrooms are completely accessible.

Such a cool place for all ages. Can't believe I have never been here. We went during the Orchids display (it's currently Winter, yo!) and the place is awesome. Nice eating area with food and alcohol and a nice gift shop. We did not get to tour the outside gardens but look forward to going back when it warms up. There is also a nice play/sensory area for the kids to explore and do some arts and STEM activities. The Glasshouses are incredible.

Very nice place to visit. Our uncle & aunt are members so it cost us nothing to enter; otherwise I believe it's about $20 an adult. It was chilly & windy the Sunday we went so some of the outdoor attractions weren't available but the blooming flowers were beautiful and it was a nice, peaceful walk. We were lucky to walk in right as one of the attendants was "watering" a chameleon & he was happy to teach us about the animal and about one of the 46-year-old tortoises that live there. All in all, it was a pleasant visit. I couldn't help but compare it to Pittsburgh's Phipps Conservatory - Phipps has more indoors flowers/plants so weather doesn't really come into play; the Botanical Garden seemed to have more outdoor spaces to explore so a visit should be planned around the weather.

Cathy S — Google review

They have a beautiful orchid exhibit. Lunch was reasonably priced and used fresh ingredients. Parking was easy to access but pricey. The ticket was quite pricey as well, $20 for adults, and $14 for my 3 years old.Stroller wagon friendly! Path is wide enough, and the building has great access for elevators. They have a children's area on the 2nd floor. Beautiful and interactive toys, crafts, and exhibit. The indoor playground was small yet pleasant.

Y_canggih — Google review

Gorgeous and so many photo opportunities. The outside gardens has various benches and seating scattered around and the trees in the Woodland and Japanese gardens provide a good amount of shade. The glasshouse was nice and the rainforest section had lots of butterflies. Didn’t feel super humid in there either. Gift shop was filled with various gardening, kitchen, and home equipment/decorations. Also had a small section with some more kid type merchandise.Overall seems very wheel chair friendly including the glasshouse which has an elevator to reach the second level of the rainforest area. Outside gardens consisted of dirt, wood, stone, and pebble paths. Not completely flat ground throughout but didn’t seem intense to me. Of course this depends on the person and mobility device.

Went with a friend, really nice place, filled with flowers, plants, butterflies, birds, garden layouts, etc. Many families and children wandering through inside and outside spaces. Would love to go back.

Theresa J — Google review

Very nice love how they have events throughout the year. Orchids Forever was the most recent event. The ice festival was beautiful since the flowers looked frozen. There are a lot of photo ops too. The baby butterfly release is a must see.

Airin D — Google review

This. Place. Is. Beautiful.Hands down, this is a must-see. During the winter, their indoor gardens are quite refreshing. During the warmer months of the year, they have many outdoor gardens and pools to see as well. Be sure to visit when the butterflies are in the rainforest section!

Nature & Parks

The Cleveland Metro Area's Rocky River Reservation offers hikers and anglers a chance to explore rocky cliffs, forests, and wetlands. Native wildlife can be spotted while visitors learn about the region's ecosystems. The area is a top destination for steelhead anglers.

Phenomenal park with a nice nature center as well as stairs up to an observation area (see photos). You can also take a more leisurely stroll along a gentle curving path to get up to the observation area. It's gentle enough that we made it with a stroller without an issue. Great area to take your dog for an outdoor jaunt - leashed, of course.Beautiful sights and a great place to feel in touch with nature while in close proximity to the city.

Great natural beauty! One can do plenty of activities likekayaking, jogging, running, biking, fishing etc.TheNature Center at the Rocky River Reservation is worth a visit. The Nature Centeroffers wildlife exhibits, a river observation deck & a bird-feeding station. The deck offers spectacular views of a 360 million year old shale cliff from the deck overhanging the river.

A gorgeous reservation trail that's always pristine and well maintained, and sure to bring you calm and help soothe your soul. If you're up for a chill quiet walk alone, or with a group of friends or family, this is one of the best trails I've been on that really truly has a lot to offer. Is dog friendly too!Lots of little detours, with some bonfire and hangout areas strewn across the trails, and endless lookouts and picture opportunities as you move along your walk. Love the well maintained boardwalksand bridges, the stairs and high points that allow you to get a better footing if you just want to enjoy the outdoors and waterways. If you're up for a more authentic adventure then there are so many other paths that will satisfy.Be sure to check out the Center while you're there for some snacks or a trinket to remember your visit. Their indoor exhibits are pretty cool too. Would recommend.

First time to Rocky River Reservation in quite awhile and definitely first time during the Winter. Enjoyed the trails and plenty of opportunities for all the photographers out there for great photos.

Nice place to hike with kids. Enjoy the view from Fort Hill Stairs. The Rocky River has great view. Clean and fresh air makes you appreciate your life. Nice and clean hiking trails. Enough parking at multiple stations around the park.

Simranjit S — Google review

Great place to drop a boat. Great parking. Would appreciate picnic tables or a park . Not thrilled about duck poop on the grass, made it challenging to find a place to sit on the blanket.

Mariya S — Google review

Awesome place for a walk/hike in nature. There are plenty of trails to explore. It’s definitely popular and you will walk by other people enjoying the park, but overall it never feels crowded.Great for either a short walk or even a few good hours of trail hiking.

The Rocky River Reservation is an excellent place to visit! You can stop at the many different parking areas to get out and view the river or falls. We got to see otters, deer, and groundhogs while we drove through the long Reservation. The park overall was quiet, felt safe and had plenty of restrooms along the route. This park is excellent and I would highly recommend going there!

Daniel L — Google review

We love this park! It’s so beautiful and also a great place for a nice walk and exercise! I love to bring my dog and walk up the stairs! We do it several times and it’s great cardio for me and him! He always come home so tired but so happy! Also in summer, you can take your pet to the nearby lake so they can in inside the water and chill out after a long walk!

Lily R — Google review

So pretty and well maintained. Lots of small loops so it's easy to hike a lot without getting lost. Many plants and local wildlife are labeled or documented throughout the trail which is nice. Trails are nicely marked. Lots of stairs but it's early to create routes without them. Most of it was paved.

Beautiful river. I just moved from PA, and the metro parks are amazing. I had a really good time fishing in different parts of the Rocky River. I see myself frequenting here. If you see me, feel free to say hello.

For constantly being rated the top metro park in the area on a plethora of top ten lists, I was unimpressed. Don’t get me wrong, it has beautiful views, I just think it’s a tad overrated. If you like elevation cardio, this is the place for you

Beautiful trails and well maintained area! I enjoyed my time here strolling with family. The visitors center is both informative and gave me an appreciation of all of the wild life surrounding us. Also, the amount of trails at this reservations was unbelievable! You can get lost here for hours! Lots of parking available as well as washroom facilities throughout the reservation for your convenience. Ill continue to come here every time I visit cleavland

Easily one of the best Metroparks/parks in the NE Ohio region, and a huge asset to Greater Cleveland. Always well-maintained trails, clear signage, and safe. One of the best free nature centers I've been to. I will always come to this parking while in the Cleveland area.

Tons of hiking, miles of trails (of all types), and great overlook views. The Fort Hill steps are popular and photographed often, and always worth a first visit.

A decent amount to do here. The trails are nicely kept. They have an outdoor stage. Beaver marsh. Bridges. Stone stairs. The large staircase to overlook the river. We always see lots of wildlife here. Sunsets can be good too.

Libraries

Cleveland Public Library is one of the nation's largest public libraries and is located in the city of Cleveland. The library has an impressive collection of books, movies, and other items, as well as special collections devoted to baseball, theater, and art. The library also features beautiful marble staircases and ornate architecture that makes it a popular place to study or just relax.

The staff is knowledgeable and super helpful! The building is absolutely gorgeous! I could just walk around looking at the building all day. Add the ridiculous amount of books within its walls and you've basically placed me in heaven! There's natural light pouring through tall windows. They have such a large selection that I don't even know where to start.

Beth F — Google review

This library and its architecture never cease to amaze me. We took a trip down today to witness the breathtaking beauty of the floral immersive exhibit and to utilize the massive archive floor of the library. The exhibit was so worth the trip and the help I received to find everything I needed in the archives was greatly appreciated. I took the steps as much as possible so I could soak in the historic beauty of this building!!!

LOVED It! Such a treasure! Drove in from Youngstown, and spent over 4 hours exploring the library and only walked through each section. I will be back again. The selection of books, music, photographs, archives, maps, chest pieces, works of art, technology, exhibits, etc seem endless. Also, ever librarian I spoke with in each section was extremely helpful and friendly and loved sharing information about the library. Awesome place to visit with your family or by yourself. A true Gem.

Hellooo!! Visiting cleveland for a few days we went to this magnificent building just to take a look around. There is a photographic exhibition in the first floor. The photos show cleveland from a different eye. Honestly I enjoyed the pictures a lot and definitely recommend it if you are in the area. The building itself is a great condition. Full of books and superman material. Thanks a lot !!

The assistance was greatly appreciated.I must also say I was blown away by theSophistication of the Center. Modern. Cheerful space with a 3D printer WOWThank you Cleveland ANDREA T

I wish I could have spent more time here but I was only in Cleveland for a day. I visited the floral art installation which was stunning. I got to wander around the building a little bit and the architectural design of the building is equally as intriguing as the massive variety of books they carry

Cha'vette W — Google review

This building is stunning. The inside is even better. We came for The Archive but stayed for the rest. So much literature here. You could spend years going through everything. So much history. Old pictures of Cleveland back in the day on display. A nice Superman display as well. Not many people were here. Parking in the area is $$. We parked at the Port of Cleveland Lot and paid $4.50/hr and had a nice short walk to the library. If you live near Cleveland, you have to check this out.

I had a wonderful (all too brief) time exploring the main branch of the Cleveland Public Library. There was a special exhibit with dried flowers hanging from the ceiling and filling the room. From there I went upstairs and discovered the chess collections, a mural commissioned by the WPA during the 1930s, and an amazing Superman exhibit. There was so much more to explore, but I only had an hour.

Jackie A — Google review

This is a huge public library. The building is gorgeous and is intricately decorated with marble pillars and staircases and intricate brass and wooden trim. The detailed architecture is amazing. There is an astronomical number of books available of course. They had a special display about Superman and another display of hanging wildflowers. Everything is free. This place is a GEM.

Sights & Landmarks

Heinen's Downtown Cleveland is one of the state's most popular supermarkets, with a wide variety of foods and drinks to satisfy all tastes. The store is set across two floors in the Ameritrust Tower and Swetland Building, and offers something for everyone.

Amazing, wine tasting, fresh pastries, ice cream. Truly a place you can spend hours. I'm making a trip back to Cleveland just to visit this place again. It's truly gorgeous.

Nicole H — Google review

Beautiful grocery store. The Heinen coconut water is great and inexpensive. You have to keep walking towards the deli area to get to the beautiful dome area.

Charline O — Google review

I was impressed with the design of this building, which used to be a bank and now a supermarket. It is wonderful!Customer service outstanding. We spoke with the manager, and he was so polite and helpful. The variety of food and the presentation were excellent. The wine tasting stations... I loved them.I was genuinely impressed and delighted with this supermarket.

Yovanka C — Google review

Coolest grocery store in Downtown Cleveland by far. And it's in a beautiful old building that could literally take your breath away with its beauty. Now I'm a man and looking up at the rotunda, it blew my mind. Got to see it to experience it. I could of took more photos of the food but I enjoyed the wine and beer section so sorry for not showing how big the market really is.5 STAR ESTABLISHMENT!!!

High-Quality products in an amazing building. Their customer service is Excellent, especially "Jazz". She was soooooo helpful. This is our first visit to the downtown area. She not only told us about the offerings of Heinen's downtown location, but also about the local area. She is an ABSOLUTE DIAMOND!!!!! I cannot rave enough about her personality and her stellar representation of your company!Well Done Jazz!

First visit to this grocery store and ice cream store. They have a huge variety of fresh prepared foods from roast beef to fettuccine Alfredo. They also have a plethora of sides and fresh meet and seafood. They don't have the largest selection of general grocery items but they are limited on space but there is a great selection for the space they have at there disposal. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the store was very clean. If your staying downtown it's a must try.

Joshua C — Google review

Just moved into town today. Went to heinens because it’s the closest grocery store. The butter I bought is rancid. I checked, and it’s within date, but it tastes awful and has that weird tingling in the back of your throat when you swallow it (I didn’t know it was rancid when I tried it). I’d question anything in the fridge or frozen section. Probs brought to the store on a truck with improper refrigeration. The fact that it’s the grocery store’s brand? Yikes. Throwing it all out. Wasted $6. Update: milk was also sour.

Heather W — Google review

What an amazing grocery store in downtown Cleveland. The store is located in what seems to be a historical building. The prices seem reasonable for being downtown. Very friendly staff

Michael B — Google review

Had the ice cream from this place and it was DIVINE. I had the roasted pistachio because I figured I'd try something different and it was easily the best icecream I'd ever had. My husband had the chocolate chip and it was also amazing. The building itself is very beautiful and I would definitely say this is a place to check out if you're visiting Cleveland.

Nareefa S — Google review

Never thought a grocery store could be such an attraction. And can't believe a bank building was built so beautifully. What a great idea to have this store in this building so that it could be enjoyed. The grocery shelves are fairly typical but the rotunda is not. Sitting there, just enjoying the architecture was amazing. So nice to see this place used so productively like this. Well done!

Don K — Google review

The prices are actually really good for a downtown store. I moved from South Carolina, and found this store has prices similar to the average grocery store in SC. Sales are frequent and diverse. Most of the staff is extremely rude, however. They all seem tense, like they're not treated right. I don't know if that's on the employer, or the yuppies shopping here, but it's not a super welcoming environment.

Christopher S — Google review

Heinen's is as usual is a very nice store. Prices are a little higher than most stores but also most of the food sold is of good quality. I'm gluten free and I can get some good stuff here. Not a lot but I like what they offer

Mary K — Google review

Really cool store to check out!! So many awesome selections of just about anything. They also have a wine bar so it would be a really nice place to meet friends. Great selection of IPA's as well as other adult beverages to purchase. I loved how they saved this amazing architecture and repurposed it into a very usable place. Absolutely beautiful on the inside and out.

-Artsy L — Google review

Great downtown grocery store in a cool, historic building. Little less selection than a normal Heinen's due to its more compact, downtown spot, but I have never had something I couldn't find. There is a prepared food section that is popular at lunch time, an ice cream spot, and a self service wine bar. Also a wellness area. The building used to be a grand bank, and you can still see parts of it in the cool rotunda. There is also bank vaults in the Vault bar downstairs. Cool place to check out even if you don't need any groceries.

Kevin M — Google review

Excellent selection of grab and go foods. Hot lunch foods were good and grocery area is very diverse. We got everything we needed for our downtown apartment visit. We loved the interior. Such a unique grocery shopping experience.

Charlotte S — Google review

Architecturally, it is the most beautiful market I have ever seen. There is also a dining area. The product range is very wide. A must see place for anyone coming to Cleveland.

Mevlüt — Google review

My favorite grocery store to visit. The workers are friendly. The bakery department always delivers. The chefs are some of the best in Cleveland. One of the last places you can grind your own beans. Very clean store. Never an empty shelf. Always has new fruits and vegetables to try. Great wine selection.

Abby — Google review

Heinen's is the best store in the Cleveland area. The food is excellent and store looks beautiful. There are always clerks around to help you if you can't find something and will lead you right to it. They load your car if you want them to also. I really think they try very hard to please their customers.

Jean F — Google review

Very cool and convenient grocery with fresh food and beer/wine options. Ice cream also.

TJG — Google review

A stunning building with an atrium and speakeasy that will make you wonder if you’re really in a grocery store. My wife and I arrived from Cleveland and needed some supplies for the weekend. She checked maps and said, “This place looks really cool.” Parking in the area wasn’t the easiest, so she went in alone as I tended the car. We made sure to return the next day so I could experience it and my sister-in-law as well. What we saw did not disappoint. You enter through a normal looking grocery store, but when you step into the atrium, everything changes. You look up three stories to a vaulted ceiling. Inside the atrium is a deli and other made to order food. The entrance directly to this area is open weekdays from 11:00-2:00.The second floor is where the beer, wine and liquor is. Apart from just purchasing, they have a tasting area and a bar. The wine can be self-serve by the glass and décor is beautiful up there. While we didn’t stop for a drink and disappointed the bartender, they were so friendly and it would have been delightful to hang out there. There is also something called The Vault that was not open when we were there, but it is a speakeasy style bar set in an old bank vault.Heinen’s would be an incredible place to hang out with friends or go on a date. You can taste several offerings before grabbing a nice co*cktail in The Vault and then grab snacks on your way out.

Kyle G — Google review

What came first the epic location or the epic grocery store inside? Even without the need to stock up on groceries you have to stop in and grab a snack and check out the amazing architecture inside!

This grocery store has excellent variety and lots of prepared food options. The building is beautiful, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Stadium

Sights & Landmarks

The Progressive Field stadium is home to the Cleveland Indians, a Major League Baseball team. The stadium offers visitors a modern and comfortable environment in which to watch their home team play ball. There are great ride-on toys for toddlers and 3D player cutouts where children can have their photo taken.

My first visit to Progress Field and I must attempt I enjoyed the layout of the ball park and the ease of getting around. I was there for Sox v. Guardians game and reserved the Club seats which included all you can eat buffet and restricted access. The food was typical low end buffet food but the experience was great. I don’t think there is a bad seat in the place, however the club seat are wider and offer indoor climate controlled tables with the buffet. Unfortunately, Sox lost!!

Emmanuel L — Google review

I've enjoyed many games over the years at progressive stadium...Stadium is incredibly nice, clean, modern and up to date. Navigation to seats, within the stadium, and outside is simplistic and well designed for doing so. Easy getting to and from any location within. There really isn't a bad seat in the entire stadium. I've sat low, high, from all angles, including the bleacher seats and they're all well worth the priced paid and view. I personally, enjoy higher up, seeing the entire field, and nothing quite beats the view of the Cleveland Skyline. Almost looks like a cut out, breathtaking and wonderful to see as you watch the game below.Disappointed that they'd taken the All You Can Eat seats up top away as it was an awesome view and you couldn't beat the price. Concession stands are pricey, certainly not worth what you pay for essentially anything, though it tends to be expected at stadium's in general, I've definitely been to much better, when it comes to price of refreshments.Parking isn't horrendous in terms of close proximity but it's typically $25+, in most areas. Prior to the casino being built, access to cheaper parking was much easier.Games are always entertaining with lots going on in and around the stadium. Would recommend firework display nights, as they're always awesome. Lots of police and security presence, never seen or had any major issues as many times as I've went, it's a safe and fun environment for the entire family.Ultimately, it could be a little more cost friendly when it comes to parking and refreshments, but, the stadium itself is an awesome place to catch a baseball game. ⚾️ Great memories here with my family and can't wait to make more.

Robert H — Google review

It was the perfect night for baseball! Clear skies, sunny and warm into a perfect cool evening. Staff was helpful and accommodating. It was clean, bathrooms were clean. We sat in club seats and the club experience is amazing! Classic food offered such as peanuts, popcorn , hot dogs with chili, cheese, onions and all other condiments, available to take as much as you like! Plus they have chef options such as tacos and chicken with mashed potatoes, pasta alfredo and of course ice cream sandwiches and ice cream bars. The options are endless! You can stay inside and watch the game on multiple TVs so you never miss a minute! Everything is included with your ticket as well as non-alcoholic drinks. There is a full bar as well. The Indians winning in a 7 inning overtime was just the icing on the cake! Great! Fireworks and a nice t-shirt were included that evening!

Kat O — Google review

This is a fun stadium. Getting in was very easy and I had no issue sitting wherever I wanted pre-game to stay out of the sun. The Guardians are really good right now but I was able to get a pretty good seat for a reasonable price. The water fountains were probably the best I have seen in any ballpark. Staff was extremely friendly and the home team won.

Brennan — Google review

Awesome place to go watch some baseball. Never had any issues with fans even when I'm rooting for my White Sox. I've only been over satisfied when attending a game at Progressive fied. The fireworks are like nothing I've ever seen anywhere else. Fireworks are a must see!!

Greg E — Google review

As a Chicago Cubs fan, I always love coming to Progressive Field. The last time I visited was in November of 2016, and other than some rude Cleveland fans, everything was great. Especially us winning the Championship and Cleveland losing. Good times.Anyways. Lots of nice food options. We were with a handicap baseball fan and everyone was very helpful. Had a great time. Cleveland lost this game too but that's kind of what Cleveland does...

Dustin C — Google review

The staff at the progressive field itself was great. Very helpful and friendly. My 3 star is not a reflection on that part of the staffing at all, they were easily 5 starsThe staff at the food service locations we visited, were 2 star at best. We easily ended up missing two innings of the game tonight because of the sheer lack of urgency or speed from every food vendor we visited. It was immensely frustrating and had we had better options, would have exercised themStood in line to get a wild thing hot dog and had to not only tell the staff twice what I ordered but got to the counter to pay and they had ended up making the food of the people well behind us and forgetting my order. They had to be reminded after I paid and then they still were making orders for those who had just walked up. Terrible.Second, we went to barrio as someone in our party wanted nachos. After spending all of the second inning in line, once we got to place or order, there was absolutely zero sense of any urgency or speed from anyone in the booth. Most of the line behind us either got frustrated and left due to the wait times or just complained about the wait times.Given how much faster these games are being played with the new rules this year, the food service management group need to up their game. Was an immensely frustrating experience that really soured an overall decent night out for baseball.

Ron W — Google review

This is such a lovely and amazing ballpark! The location is accessible from downtown and walkable for postgame bars and food.It is beautifully designed to sit and watch the game in a relaxed way. While on the other hand if you are looking for more lively atmosphere 'The Corner' has everything you need.Plenty of great food options and an overall great baseball experience! They also provide $1 hot dog nights, $2 beer, a free t-shirt and fireworks night.

Wesley — Google review

It was a fun night at a new ballpark watching the home team play the Jay's. Great crowd, mostly very respectful and everyone having a great time. Easy to get around, good seats, and visibility of the scoreboard.Only disappointment was the food. They ran out of a couple of more popular options at the local options and the rest of the choices were the usual fare. Loved the surrounding area, very comfortable walking back through downtown to our hotel after the game ended.

Jackie A — Google review

This ballpark was impressive. The choices and variety of food and drink were everything you could possibly ask for. The lines were not long at all and I had a hard time making up my mind what I wanted to get because there were so many great selections. They did a good job maintaining the restrooms. I have one suggestion for them, I would say they could use more recycling bins around the ballpark. Definitely worth the stop on my tour of major league baseball ballparks. Cleveland did a pretty good job putting on a good show besides the baseball game.

Ryan K — Google review

Clean and well-organized ballpark! There is the small park to show the history of Indians in the park which I really loved! In addition, the view is amazing. Many accessible parking spaces are available nearby the ball park!

Jungwook C — Google review

This place has changed so much over the years, all in great ways. They keep making things fresh and better. Not a bad seat in the house. Food is expensive but that is to be expected. If you love baseball, this is the stadium for you! Tons of things to do and many great photo opportunities!! It will never be The Jake, but even with the changes, I love this place!!

Shawn B — Google review

A great place to see a ballgame! There are many good seating and standing options. There were some unique and delicious food choices. We tried two of the specialty dogs (the fruit loops topped dog is good! The peanut butter topped one not so much) and definitely get the giant pretzel and beer cheese. We enjoyed the statues and wall of Fame area (looking back at the greats who have played for them). We can't wait to go back and experience even more!

Ryan K — Google review

Great game and fireworks after the show were fantastic. Food was reasonably prices. We were able to bring in our own snacks. Parking can be pricey in the area. Check out the parking garages online first to find a better deal. Stadium was clean and staff was helpful. Check out the website for promotions for each night! Our tickets were online for $10 each, great price for the night.

Lindsay M — Google review

I thought it was a very nice park, great views from many areas. The park itself seemed very clean. Concession lines were either small or fast from what I saw. Mobile ordering is available at many places, which helps reduce wait times and missing game action. Happy Dogs outside Section 159 is where you can find the unique hotdog choices that people have shared.Outside of Gate C, you have various player statues, and as you enter, there is a Jim Thome statue in the Center Field concourse. Speaking of, walk to your right and along the gates past Heritage Park in order to find the Jim Thome longest homerun plaque at 511 ft.To your immediate right in the Center Field concourse is Heritage Park, which has several plaques and statues remembering Cleveland's baseball history. Also to your left of Heritage Park are the bullpens. You can get a bird's-eye view of the players warming up.As a bonus before the game, stop by League Park, which is roughly 3 miles away (6601 Lexington). This was the original home to Cleveland baseball, location of the 1920 World Series, where Babe Ruth hit his 500th homerun & also many more historical moments in baseball. You can enjoy the park view for free, but there is a $10 charge if you want to explore their museum. For the game, we parked just off St. Clair, about half a mile from the stadium. Since it was Sunday, there was no charge for metered parking. If you don't mind a little walking, this is ideal, especially since prices near the stadium were $50. This location worked great for us as we were able to make a short walk over to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and then afterwards, it was about a mile walk up to the stadium. All in all, it was great weather, great game, and a fun experience. I hope you also enjoy your trip to Progressive Field, safe travels!

Progressive field just completed a massive renovation. This is truly a first class ballpark and has been home to the Cleveland team since 1994. Views are great from anywhere in the park and the outdoor atmosphere makes for a terrific fresh air “Hey, it’s finally summer!” experience. On the weekend the crowds are very heavy, so get there early if possible and parking is abundant but expect to walk as is the case with most places downtown. Check for local construction as Cleveland is undergoing a massive downtown restoration. The ballpark food options are plentiful and the quality is great. Weekday games are less crowded obviously, and not as loud for those who may have sensory sensitivities. Noise canceling headphones are available as well as assisted listening devices for the hearing impaired. They have the typical mascot races, games and interactive activities to keep things exciting. Progressive field is very handicap accessible. Highly recommend attending a game here if you get the opportunity!

It's a good park.. At first look it felt big from the street.. But it's below street level and feels smaller inside with lots of nooks and spaces.. They do love there bars there but I had a good local ipa.. It's a good park to visit...

A great family evening out to experience the atmosphere & passion at a baseball live game. Tickets were about $20 each so quite affordable for a major league game. I was visiting from Ireland and went with friends from Cleveland. We went to see Cleveland Guardians play Cincinnati Cats. There were hot dogs, foam fingers, ice cream, beer, pizza, Guardian jerseys all available on the evening. And all staff and supporters were very friendly. Great American experience all round .

I absolutely loved being here on Sunday watching them beat the Yankees. The stadium is beautiful and located downtown with easy access to Rocket Mortgage to watch the Cavs as well. They have all the modern amenities and you definitely won't go thirsty. Go Indians!

This is a smaller stadium, but it is still very nice. We sat in the first row, along the third base line. The view of the field was great. However, it had rained pretty hard earlier in the day, and the area under our feet had standing black water. We just kept our feet up. If we wore white sneakers, they would have been super muddy afterward.

First time to a major league ball park in some years. Was blown away by the cleanliness of Progressive Field. There is plenty to do for those who get antsy sitting a ball game. The employees are extremely courteous. The atmosphere was next level! was easy to make conversation with other fans. One of the most pleasant sporting events I have ever been to. (From Buffalo, NY)

My home ballpark! It’s such a beautiful park still to this day. Views are really good from almost anywhere (yes, even from the bleacher seats!!). Great way to get outside, have some fun, and sip on your drink of choice. The food on the lower mezzanine is awesome. Great local Cleveland joints scattered throughout. However the upper deck food section is mostly traditional ballpark style food… and it’s not that great of quality either in all honesty. The standing room only and terrace views are awesome especially if you’re looking for cheap fun! Family section will keep your squirmish and high energy kids occupied for the whole game with all kinds of activities, while still providing great views from the right and center field.Keep in mind during 7:10pm starts the sun will be in your face for first few innings if you sit along 1st baseline. Same goes for right field seats during 1:10pm and 4:10pm start times. 3rd baseline is mostly in the shade after about 6pm.

Big Guards fan. First time to Progressive Field (The Jake) after having the honor of singing the National Anthem 20 times a season in the late 80's (old Municipal Stadium). Great stadium, food is good. Line to enter team shop was a bit extreme and Guards need to remedy this in some manner. Seats were terrific down third base line. This was fine but the indication in the ticket order form indicated a hand rail. There was not and you could see where the rails were removed. Not absolutely necessary for me but would have been a huge help. All in all we had a great time and the Guards beat Minnesota 11-4.

Hastings H — Google review

Gotta love the Jake! It's arguably one of the best stadiums in the US. Whether you have standing only tix or seats, there's not a bad view in the joint. Go Tribe!!

Michael M — Google review

This was my 21st current ballpark. Considering many aspects, it might be the best one I've been to. No bad seats, reasonable ticket prices, good location not hard to reach, nice views, moderate prices, excellent main concourse with plenty of field views. Highly recommend.

Ricardo R — Google review

It was a sunny day to visit progressive field for an afternoon game. Lots of food options inside, although I didn’t eat inside it still smelled & looked tasty. Good view from the outfield section 185 although it was bleacher seats. Not much to do outside the ballpark like other cities.

Brad M — Google review

Visited Progressive Field for a weekend game vs Nationals and we might have come in on a bad day. It was a $2 beer day so the place was sold out and absolutely packed. The parking prices were exorbitant and there was not a lot of parking in the area so we had to walk 30 mins to get to the park, then we had to wait another 20 mins just to get in as there are only couple gates that funnel all the crowds in. The park itself had good atmosphere as pretty much everyone had 4-5 beers in them before national anthem. The lower bowl seats are not that great and we ended up trading with some people in the higher level. the higher level seats were much better. I think this stadium was not built for sell-outs.. line ups for everything are very long and the corridors were crowded. Because of the huge lineups, the food we ended up with was not good and towards the later part of the game many of the fans in the upper bowl were just drunk and annoying. Looking back at the pictures, the field does look great with all the seats filled, but in person it did feel like just a lot of concrete. We did have great weather, but ended up leaving early.

A great stadium 🏟️. We pick a stadium each year to visit, when our team, the Blue Jays play and this year 2023, was Cleveland OH. Beautiful stadium, with many food and drink vendors. Team shops all around the main level. We purchased tickets to the Drug Mart Club. It was great. Comfortable seats, in a covered area. The club includes food and non alcoholic drinks. There was a wonderful buffet with , pulled pork, pizza, pasta, salads, tacos, jerk chicken, wings, hamburgers , hot dogs, ice cream, popcorn and more! All fresh and delicious. Alcohol beverages available for purchase, beers and coolers. Friendly staff, well organized. We really enjoyed the day!

I love working here, The staff are helpful & knowledgeable about ticket discounts and sections with the best foods. Theirs dollar dog and 2$ beer nights (Fridays) starting mid May. We host summer concerts -last season I had the opportunity to work the Elton John Yellow Brick Road farewell tour🚀👨🏽‍🚀♥️. We have standing room district tickets (11$) With those you'll receive a complimentary 6oz Miller from the corner 🍺 bar just present your ball park pass located in the MLB app. There you'll open your tickets for that game and it also shows the loaded value amount on each game days 🎫. I hope to see you over at MasteHeads section 118 across from corner bar-Go Guardians

“Progressive Field offers a fantastic ballpark experience! The stadium is well-maintained with great sightlines, ensuring there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The atmosphere is always vibrant, perfect for family outings or catching a game with friends. Concessions offer a good variety of food, and the staff is friendly and helpful. A must-visit for any baseball fan looking to enjoy a game in a classic yet modern setting.”

This was my first game at Progressive Field. We had a great experience. It's easy to get in and out. We had great seats. No complaints. I recommend you to attend a game to see for yourself.

James M — Google review

First time here and at the final home game in 2023, which was awesome. Bittersweet with Terry Francona retiring but a great day, great game, and probably one of the most fan-friendly parks I've ever been to. Come visit. 👍⚾

Michael C — Google review

No defining features, but this is an all-around solid ballpark. Beautiful field and views. Location in downtown Cleveland is perfect for pregame festivities. Deck in the outfield is a great hangout spot. Manageable size and easy to navigate. Concessions and restrooms are accessible. Didn’t eat this time around but will update with a HOTDOG RATING after my next visit.Only minor complaint would be the line to enter, but that is to be expected when arriving during the first pitch.

Kyle — Google review

Atmosphere was fantastic! Had a blast! Bathrooms were dirty, and looked like gas station quality. Food and drink were WAY too expensive. $15.50 for a tall can of beer? $7.50 for a hot dog? $18.50 for some nachos? $8 for a double cheeseburger? (Note: The 2 patties were so thin, I thought I got ripped off and recieved a single patty, at first.) That is absolutely ridiculous. Tickets are fairly priced, and staff was very friendly! All in all my girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience! I understand concessions are expensive at ball games, i just wasn't expecting them to be THAT expensive. I'll just set aside some money to use strictly on the food and drink next time we go.

Dalton D — Google review

Beautiful Ball park! Love the stadium food!! Everything was easy to find and a nice easy fast process to check out! Cashless and self checkout were fast and efficient services, although there's nothing like the personal touch!!!

This WWII submarine is preserved as a moving memorial and museum in Cleveland, Ohio. Visitors can explore the submarine's original hatchways, ladders and other features while learning about its history during the Second World War and Cold War. The USS Cod was impressively awarded seven battle stars during WWII.

Always feels great to visit a historical vessel of WW2. The staff were friendly and even helped answer questions from within the ship. I gave a glimpse of life what sailors went through working in the ship. I mean looking at the beds makes you feel so grateful for anyone who worked in a submarine. The place is clean, well maintained and audio clips inside the ship wad amazing. Kids would definitely Italy love this place, especially the gun that is mounted on the top of the submarine. I'll recommend this place.

Rahul K — Google review

This was super cool! Run by veterans with attention to detail, knowledgeable guides on site if you want, or browse at your leisure. Fun for kids and adults. You must be able to climb a ladder to enter and exit the sub. The large gun on the deck was open to sit in and "practice your aim" 😂. If you're visiting the stadium, science center or rock hall, stop in here! Within walking distance! Proceeds go to veterans and sub restoration, highly recommended!

This was the BEST stop on my two day Cleveland tour. It cost around $22 but parking in front was free. Tickets were $14 for me $8 for my 8 yr old and free for my preschooler. It took about 30 minutes or so. We actually went through twice as my boys were scared the first time but enjoyed it more the 2nd time. They have a gunner turret on deck to play with and a periscope on land to use. This was all of our first time on a submarine which is why we loved it. I don't know about going a 2nd time but great for a first time on a submarine. The tour goes through the whole sub and it can be on your own but there was a person I. The mess to talk to and ask questions.

Troy S — Google review

The entry booth folks are great, they are down to earth awesome folk. The submarine is super cool. I love everything WW2 and this hit the spot. It it tight getting in and out of the sub, so if you have any mobility issues you might not be able to enter.

Howard H — Google review

Surprisingly amazing! There are plenty of volunteers that love to help and inmerse everyone in the crew's stories and life in a submarine during WW2. I came with children ages 7 and 9 and they had a blast! There's actual footage shown in the chow hall from the original crew, and at some point they even fire the cannon for visitors. You can even seat on it and adjust range and direction. Don't forget to try the periscope located at the dock.

Ron D — Google review

Good place to visit if you have the time. Not made for elderly or bigger (taller or heavier) individuals as the areas to climb through are very narrow. Great location. Ventilation in submarine helped a lot with the heat of the day.

Katie L — Google review

My son and I really enjoyed visiting the U-boat. There's really not a lot of space on these boats and it was interesting to see how they maximized all that space by filling it with so much equipment. We also like the fact that we could sit in the deck Cannon and actually move it. Overall we really liked it.

Chantle F — Google review

This was my first time going to see this submarine, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I went at around noon on a Sunday, and there was no crowd at all. Let me just say that this is not something for someone who is claustrophobic or someone who can't easily use ladders or bend through small openings. The self guided tour (or you can have a guided tour for no extra cost) was easy to follow and had plenty of information. I would definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you are into World War 2 history! Go check it out for yourself the next time you are in Downtown Cleveland!

Dave B — Google review

If you like the history of World War 2 then this place is a must see for you! It’s a piece of history both parents and kids can enjoy and learn amazing facts about. I had no idea that in 1940ties US had diesel powered submarines that could have switched to electric mode only to go super silent as an example! Also the enthusiasts running the museum deserve our full respect for how passionately they explain things.👏

Jan H — Google review

Had a great time learning about the American submarine history and how our Navy military members lived many years ago. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable and I really learned a lot. Had a great time and highly suggest visiting.

Anthony S — Google review

This submarine was nice to visit. You get to board and tour submarine that was commissioned in the 40’s. Like all submarines the quarters are tight and it’s a good experience to see how sea men had to live on board.

A2Z R — Google review

Absolutely fantastic historic museum of wonderful submarine. There is so much history here and almost everything is original. Corridors were a little tight but that is to be expected. Getting into the sub was a tiny bit tricky but easy. This was a non guided tour, they simply gave you one simple instruction to not mess with any levers or buttons and there was an audio guided tour that gave plenty of information of each section. We asked about the martini glass to the person at the ticket desk and they gave us a very detail description what it meant.

Reagan G — Google review

This is a must see if you are in Cleveland! You'll need to be able to climb a ladder to get into and out of the submarine, so keep that in mind. You can walk around on the deck of the submarine and then you climb down a ladder into the forward torpedo room, then you get to walk the entire length of the main deck. There are a few signs to read and buttons to push to get a short audio tour. You walk through the submarine at your own pace and there are usually a couple people you can ask questions. Everyone on the ship was very nice and it was extremely cool to see a WWII submarine as it looked back in the day!

Zach B — Google review

This is the second submarine we've been to. Parking was close, free, and very accessible. It's a little price for a self guided tour but we wanted to ae it. We were able to access all parts of the submarine that were open to the public. We were also able to touch almost anything. The kids had a blast, and it was fun checking everything out. If you're into military stuff, this is a must visit.

Bryan R — Google review

This is one of the best WWII submarine museums you will ever go to. EVERYTHING has been restored almost to its original state. Plus cutouts of torpedoes and other pieces of equipment that make it such a great tour and learning experience. Excellent

Bill P — Google review

Is freaking cool. If you love engineering, boats, technology, history, military, you will find a place here. Self guided tour with some internal voice guidance. Really cool to see what humanity could do in 1942.

Calin A — Google review

A unique exhibit that you can explore with knowledgeable and friendly staff, and the history and mechanisms presented were very interesting.Being able to go through an actual submarine is not something you get to do every day, and this was worth the time and money!Only downside is it is cash only, and watched a few people turned away for that reason.

Tristan H — Google review

Very cool visit on the sub. Tight spaces in and out. Loved how they had audio buttons in each part to tell the story of life on the USS COD!

Kathy D — Google review

Amazing piece of history and a truly unique and interactive experience. The sub is preserved so well and let’s you feel like you have stepped back into time. Climbing and crawling through each compartment was so cool and the audio tour portions were top notch. It took us about an hour to walk through the whole submarine it was time well spent. If you go in the winter make sure to dress warm as the cold lake water keeps the inside cool. They also have an interesting YouTube channel worth checking out. We can’t wait to come back again.

Warren’s R — Google review

Absolutely fascinating and they have done a great job of preserving the ship and its history. The staff who work there are very friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. It's one of my favorite museum ships I've visited.

Ben B — Google review

Such a cool museum! It’s so neat to be able to walk around an old sub. The audio tour is great and there are also signs for those who are hearing impaired. Staff is friendly and helpful. I learned a lot and had fun!

The E — Google review

Great spot to visit if you are in the area. The sub is quite well preserved and maintained and there are several stations with audio description..It must be noted that anyone with limited mobility or larger proportions may be unable to go inside the sub as you have to enter and exit the submarine using the original hatchways and ladders.Parking is free for those visiting

Eyesac B — Google review

We were just trying to kill some time before a flight and we ended up stopping here. It was amazing I would give it 10 stars if I could, this is a rare chance to see and touch history. The staff were all incredibly nice and knowledgeable. If you are even slightly interested in history especially WWII or Naval history it is absolutely worth the trip. I’m hoping to be in Cleveland again just to visit the USS Cod again!! Also a huge bonus they let you sit on the deck gun and move it!

Taylor C — Google review

The USS Cod is a very unique submarine. Unlike other Museum subs across the US, this one is the only one that’s not “modified”. By that I mean while normally there are stairs cut in for easy access, the Cod is the only one where you enter and exist the sub via the original hatches that the crew would’ve used while in service. The hatches are tight, but then again you’re dealing with a submarine. This sub is in perfect condition and the staff are very helpful in understanding what life was like onboard.Highly recommend for anyone who loves naval history. I will say parking is limited, but I had no trouble finding a spot.

Noah F — Google review

Beautifully restored World War II Gato class submarine. I really enjoyed it because it's a self guided tour, so you do not have to go with a group and can take as much time as you want to check everything out. And most of the areas you can press a button and over a speaker you will hear a bit of information about the room you're in and as you walk through they have 1940s era music playing. And you can actually go inside most of the rooms, (Captains room, etc) as other same type submarines they would have them glassed off and you could just look through the plexiglass. Would definitely recommend it to any history buff.

Mark D — Google review

I have had both the honor and the privileged to tour a number of US submarines from WWII. The USS Pampanito in San Fransisco, the USS Cobia in Manitowoc, WI, and the USS Clamagore in Charleston (now permanently closed). While these are all wonderful subs in their own right to me USS Cod is unique in its own right. Full restored to its 1945 war configuration the hull has not been cut like the other subs to allow the installation of a staircase. You enter the sub through the forward hatch down the ladder and into the forward torpedo room just like they did in 1945. The hard work the preservation crew and volunteers do every day to keep Cod in the best possible condition ensures an amazing visitors experience. The staff is friendly and helpful always ready to answer any questions you may have. You don't have to be a history buff to visit the Cod. It is worth it just to see how these men lived and fought for their country in World War II.

Amazing, fantastic, wonderful display and tour of a WW2 US submarine, INSIDE and out!!! Loved it!A little tricky, difficult for 69yo 6'2" to climb DOWN entry hatch & ladder, then climb UP the exit ladder & scramble on deck- also took a little practice to learn how to get through hatches below decks, but WOULD NOT have missed this opportunity, and EXPERIENCE, of my lifetime!!!I had tried enlisting in '72, but flat feet + 1 bad eye deferred me, SOOO GLAD to finally be aboard!!

Matt P — Google review

WWII sub in great condition. Great experience if you have never been on a Navy ship (or even if you have) Be prepared to climb down/up ladders through narrow hatches and bulkhead doors from compartment to compartment. If claustrophobic, beware. Imagine serving on this with 95 other sailors!Go Navy! Beat Army!

Chris A — Google review

Great original detail of a storied submarine.Very nice kid-friendly visit not requiring a lot of time. The walk-thru of inside took 20 minutes. (Yes, it does require climbing up and down ladders) Our kids, 9 and 10, were fascinated by interacting with the gun still mounted on the top.Staff was super friendly - thanks for answering all our questions and explanations.
